Historic Nottingham : South Notts
This is something I would love to go visit in person, and have a look around. See how things have changed; even going on a steam train is a wish of mine. Though, I wouldn't want to see the old 90s green buses because I have nightmares about how horrible and uncomfortable they were. I used to hate that the one line nearest my parents would always have the older buses, even when the other lines had new shinny ones. The older ones, in the right setting, would be brilliant to see in person.

Snakes on a train....?
It's getting everywhere, and I don't mean snakes! The detection is most likely a good thing, even if it is wrong. At least snakes haven't found their way onto platforms and started jumping on to take a day trip or whatever. Though, I did read recently that mice and rats are repeatedly in higher volumes on planes which I would have thought airlines would have regular checks for. Snakes rushing across the lines doesn't really compare, but best to keep the wild life save.

Where are they now : Aaron Nemane
I am not sure what I make of this; I hope for Rotherham United's sake they get the player he can be. I think we helped Aaron Nemane find a more consistent performance, which he never seemed to replicate at MK Dons. It's strange that he wasn't able to make a bigger impact, but I hope he does well for Rotherham. He reminds me a lot of Saka, inconsistent but with spells of brillience. The performance he gave against Chesterfield in the National League Playoff Final is the type of performance he should set himself more often, he was class that day and played a big part in tiring them out which led to us getting more into the game. Good luck, Nemane.

Thanks, Super still isn't feeling great but is resting. I will let him know about the messages, though he may sign on to read the site before he notices what I have said. 👍🏻

Where are they now : Tom Weal
Good luck to Tom Weal, I hope he gets the move because he's a good coach and I think we were rash to let him go. He seemed a very friendly person, who had the respect of the players and his contributions to our promotion by giving help on where to dive and the penalty training was a masterstroke in terms of success in bringing us back. Everyone played their role, including Tom.

Unfortunately, plans didn't work out to get to Alfreton. Even worse, Super didn't feel well, so it might have been a blessing. I hope to go over to see him later today, but he should be well stocked with DnB because he already had two the last time I went over and I took another two with me. 😄 I've done a round of bug fixing and optimisation improvements. I didn't realise that the migration had some impact on areas but I have fixed them. I am going through each one by one, whilst unlocking new features. Eventually, there won't be anything to add. One of the people who has purchased apps of mine, he audited the dev site and told me PON is huge. 🤪 I asked, as I hoped to get feedback on the menu but I have been fighting with code to make it work. It's finally fixed, with everything behaving as intended. Fingers crossed it is. I watched Mexico vs England the other night, I hadn't realised until going down for the K.O that the time had been put back. Once the game was underway, I really enjoyed it, and I think nutural fans will have been impressed by both teams. World Cup fever has me inspired to re-write a game like Championship Manaer 1997-98, I have grown tired of Football Manager but I must admit the latest version kept calling me due to it's World Cup mode and the football fever the tournement creates. Some might recall I mentioned when I was back in school, I tried to write a Wrestling Sim and was learning Visual Basic after successfully writing a very basic version in QBasic (which was dos based). Well, I have even revived that idea. Not that I want to be in competition for Promotion Wars or The Wrestling Sim, but because it's been a life goal of mine. Since I am coding so much for PON/others, it's revived my interest in it. I might share updates, if anyone is interested I expect them to be a slow burner because my priority is this site.

Announcement: Goodbye, and Hello - 26th June 2026
I have made some improvements to the performance of some resources which had issues after our migration, I have seen optimised them for the new server and fixed many bugs within them. Hopefully, I will be able to get the history app live tomorrow. I have been expanding on it, and fixing issues that only came up when in the live environment. Locally, I am very satisfied with the app but very eager for feedback to make even more improvements.

World Cup Thread 2026
I stayed up and watched it with Jake. I thought it was an entertaining game and by far England's best performance to-date in the World Cup. This said, I am disappointed that Mexico seem to have gotten away with attempting to cause disruptions and created noise throughout the night as a means to give themselves an unfair advantage on the match day but interrupting the England teams sleep. This type of behaviour is a major lack of respect, and considering they are part of the co-hosts I do hope punishment if applied in retospective. In the past, other nations have been held accountable by their own support. Russia was threatened to be kicked out of the World Cup they last held in 2018. Russia had threats 3 years before over safety, and other concerns that they might not be able to host it. Mexico were unlucky, and played some brilliant football. I didn't like how they sorrounded the referee all the time. Our red card was correct, but some of the Mexican players should have been given yellows and two potentially could have seen red. The decision against Harry Kane to give a penalty, just because a Mexican player beat him to kicking the ball, seems wrong. It was a difficult decision due to the game but not for what happened. Had Kane made contact and the Mexican followed through I would have considered it to be a fair attempt to win the ball. For me the referee did okay, but he seemed to allow them to contest every decision. He waved Kane away when our captain tried to speak or be around the situation, but allowed them to gang up over every little deicison. Yes, he gave a yellow when a Mexican player pushed and tried to cause a situation (yes the England player did idly elbow him) but they needed to be told to play on. On our penalty, the Mexican keeper should have been given a yellow card. It's disappointing they got away with unruly behaviour over the challenge, that saw a red card but they shouldn't have gotten away with being allowed to get violent. Jordan Henderson got a yellow card, I am not exactly sure why but several Mexican players warming up came onto the pitch during the game, whilst the ball was in motion and even pushed Saka twice. Winning a game with all this feels even better.

Transfer rumours Michael Mellon
The biggets concern is the injury to his hamstring, but he's a very bright young player and one who is technically very good. At 22, it seems less of a risk to take him on than someone nearer to 30 as the injuries start to impact you far more. Shoulder, back, and knee issues are quite common in sports. Michael Owen had a lot more problems caused due to his sheer pace, that led to him struggling but I wouldn't say it impacted his career all that much. Obviously, Michael Mellon is a different player but I do think he would still be around Burnley had he not been so unfortunate. He's someone I rate, he's always performed well against us and his father was a decent enough player. We are the type of team that can help players, and whilst some might think I have changed my tune. Cal Roberts is the example I started my point here with. However, I am certain Cal will do well for us and if we have good options within the team we can offer him protection. He's a different scenerio to Mellon. I would hope there's truth in the rumours, but I do have faith we will identify the right players needed. It's just imprtant we don't think we can get away with being short in the striker department.

Langstaff gone to Salford 😢
I wished it had been any other League Two, even Grimsby or Chesterfield would have been better. The thing which I don't like, is that if they have spent money, either on transfer or wages, to the point it matches Millwall. How on earth are they getting away with it? They have been cutting costs, sacked a good manager (albeit he's a k**b) and have lost quite a lot of money which I don't see them being able to recover in any legitmate means in my opinion. That said, it would have been nice to see Macaulay Langstaff return to us but League Two is probably his level in all fairness.

The Trillion Dollar Conman book
I haven't had the chance to read it, but I do wonder how much is fresh and not repeated from other sources/investigations. That said, I believe it was written by a Notts fan, and I wish him all the very best with it.

Match Discussion: League Two - Alfreton Town (A)
It sounds like we were much more organised than previous encounters with Alfreton, but they are a lot weaker too. It's going to be interesting what trialists if any impress, and how we are going to go about filling the squad in the areas needed before the start of the season. I am pleased for Ryley Reynolds but what ever has happened to James Sanderson? These two seem like a big part of our future for the talent we develop ourselves. It's a good run out, but the result means little, but the fitness levels returning should be coming along nicely.

Weekly Chat Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July
Fixing my own mistakes for the most of the day, and helping somewhere the former owner can't resist in being jelous that I am fixing HIS mistakes. I don't mind holding my hands up when I make them, it means more to be humble and honst. Yet to act like Mr Highandmighty just because they inherited a successful website that you gave to someone else due to being out of depth is a little too late to act like something special. In the future, if someone hires my services, then acts like this I am refunding and blocking them. Got to build a reputation and take some of this nonsense first.

World Cup Thread 2026
Japan have played some of the best attacking football, it's unfortunate that they were happy to defend against Brazil because I said to Jake that they will tire and space will open up between their CBs. Their back line was very impressive, but the midfield chased every pass and allowed themselves to be brought out of posiiton, allowing Brazil to play quicker and place the ball into the crucial areas where chances could be created. First half Brazil was dire, much better in the second half but I do feel Japan were unlucky.
