  1. Having now watched the full highlights of the game, I can safely put my vote towards Nick Tsaroulla. I think George Abbott, had he continued consistently throughout the game, would have been closer competition for my vote.
  2. Sorry, again it's me. I am trying to improve the page speed, so I temporarily disabled it. However, my trick to save on the loading time isn't working. I've restored it.
  3. I have made amendments, unfortunately the way the reactions are handled is a CSS trick is applied to an image - which in this case is 'greyscale' and that limits the options of what you can do. It should be easier to see, I basically toned it down. The "Accepted file types: gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png, webp" has also been altered.
  4. @Robbie Are you seeing any concerns with it, or suggestions?
  5. I have been working on a dark version of the lightweight theme; it's still in beta. However, I have asked one person to have a look and the feedback was positive. I have seen further worked on it, to ensure it is dark black - instead of dark blue/grey. Please keep in mind: Dark Lightweight Theme. The Daily Post Goal The Footer Both needs work. There are areas which require some final thought, but I welcome feedback. Fixes have been applied to all themes except PON dark. It's the same fix, but I am trying to ensure it's a good fix. On tablets, blocks show as single items, instead of being 2x2. This change caused an issue with the home page on mobiles which has been fixed. As I say, I am trying to ensure it's the right approach, but I haven't experienced any issues. I am awaiting feedback from someone far more knowledgeable in CSS/theme design than me. Some minor upgrades have recently taken place, nothing all that exciting in truth. --Edit-- I will make sure that the Lightweight and Dark Lightweight themes can be toggled between each other. This is currently on hold, but it will be added within the new year. As, I expect this to be out of beta by then.
  6. Sorry, I tried to connect to Redis (a cache system) but it failed again. I would safely say the issue was my fault.
  7. What utter nonsense by the BBC. It was an exhibition fight, which highly favoured Jake Paul even though he'll never be to the standard that Mike Tyson was in his prime. Tyson, at 58-years-old, was always going to struggle with a 27-year-old. Personally, I think he deserves more respect for coming out of retirement, and having worked so hard to get into shape for the contest. These fights, they mean nothing. It's just money, but some media outlets love to pretend that it does. This is a very tedious article, one you would expect to be written by a non-mainstream news outlet. The part I have highlighted and underlined says it all. Jake Paul is a professional boxer now. He has been training with some former high calibre people such as Theotrice Chambers, and formerly Shane Mosley. I think more should be said about Paul's seriousness for the sport, and how if he's serious about it - he should fight active boxers. There's no doubt anyone with some common sense would expect Tyson to be slow, and sluggish compared to the 27-year-old Paul. Tyson has done any further damage to his career, nothing worse than when he was an active boxer. If anything, he's showing that he's reformed these days and has a much better overall image. The actual fight? He lost, it means nothing.
  8. Some fans might dismiss young talent, especially earlier on, but I have said before, our youngsters need to be hitting 5–10 appearances when considered ready. Then the following season, you aim to expose them to more football. As fans, we can pass our thoughts regarding youngsters, but players develop at different times. There's much more that goes into someone reaching their potential. Smart clubs will figure this out, as good facilities and coaching staff are just part of it. First season: 1-5, second: 5-10 and third: 10-20. If a manager truly believes in academy players, and first team members look out for them - then some will flourish. Obviously, not all youngsters can get time on the pitch, but the ones who do well should be pushed in a way that integrates them with the first team in my opinion.
  9. This is a very sensible decision, one which I hope Ryley Reynolds benefits from. Sometimes, I feel Notts loan out players to teams just for the sake of it. There was a time we would feed local clubs, and where at the time it seemed to make some sense in hindsight it's more related to the club doing said team a favour, or due to limited options. There's no point sending a youngster out to a much lower team, even if they do play regularly and whilst they may attract interest after this - that is the only benefit. The way I see it, we tend to loan players too far down, then fail to get them integrated into the first team. Follow-up loans tend to see them returning to the same team, then they end up being released down the line. I am optimistic that this loan will enable Reynolds to be extended beyond just one month, giving him further valuable game time. If he finds his feet, and does well. Then it will show Notts that he's capable and ensuring that he remains on loan would be beneficial. I just hope he doesn't end up being loaned to multiple teams this season. I am not sure about the limits involved, but you want youngsters to be settled, and whilst they might not care about leaving one environment for another. It tends to be a pattern that continues beyond that initial loan spell. Both Ryley Reynolds and James Sanderson look like promising players who will only further improve based around who they are playing alongside, and what opportunities they are given. I hope Stuart Maynard will be the first Notts manager in a long time to realise that our youth just need to play, and settle within the first team environment.
  10. Be sure not to forget the "i", otherwise it will be you paying. Now, should I remember this for the next time we meet? A swift visit to the ACP, and I'll be sorted.
  11. Today, I am focusing on getting jobs done which I never have the time to do. At some point I will drag myself out, so I can go see my dad. I haven't managed to do this since our family break, and I really want to catch up. There's not a lot on a Saturday that happens when I am not attending a game. It's all work-related mostly, but today does feel cosy to a point. Did you know, the Royal Mail at times now delivers some Amazon items? They say that people aren't sending letters as much, but that is simply due to the cost. The higher it goes, the fewer people are willing to spend to send a simple letter, and it's the act of a company that isn't able to adapt with the times. I would assume they are wanting to focus on where the most money is available to them, at the exspence of their more affordable options but requires more time from their staff. At some point the price will make stamps defunct, at which point they will have to compete more closely with parcel companies - unless they realise that making stamps actually affordable, and of value, would increase the demand for them. At which point will it be too late? They have recently made the price to print your own stamps online universally the same price. With the only benefit that you can give your letters, parcels to the mail man doing your round (sometimes it's their partner who drives a van). I think reducing paper waste is a good idea, but none of the Royal Mail's actions are focused on this and solely come down to money. Just like companies are now prioritising emails over letters. We still live in a time when physical paper counts for something, and I personally would rather send letters in some instances but sooner, or later it will be a thing of the past.
  12. Blackpool 2-2 Northampton Town Stockport County 0-1 Wrexham (Joker) Accrington Stanley 0-2 Swindon Town Barrow 0-1 AFC Wimbledon Bromley 1-2 Carlisle United Braintree Town 0-0 AFC Fylde Hartlepool United 1-0 Eastleigh Yeovil Town 1-1 Halifax Town
  13. What's the chance that he actually likes Forest? I think it's quite possible. Watching the Sky Sports video, I can see why he said what he did, but doing it on video, and he clearly knew it was being recorded is extremely silly. Still, I don't think his decision was biased against disliking Liverpool. Their fans, etc, seem to be trying to make it about that, but it's not. Virgil van Dyke was offside. Jordan Pickford could have been spoken too, but under the rules he committed no foul despite it being a dangerous challenge.
  14. Jatta has been a remarkable signing. When we were linked I didn't think it would be true and when we signed him I felt pleasantly surprised by how he fit in. The early signs looked promising, with how he held the ball up, and waved between defenders. He seemed to instantly settle in, and it's great to see how much us Notts fans have taken to him. You can't underestimate that support. I have no concerns about his departure to represent The Gambia. We'll be fine, and he really has earned this. I hope he does well, and manages to secure a place in their team. It's great to have internationals at this level.
  15. I heard about this yesterday. Being registered as a Notts fan doesn't really mean much, but I can't see why people can't be professional. The whole thing is stupid, what would the purpose of recording it be? You have to be pretty thick to do it. I have been told he's claiming he was "drunk", he didn't seem very much under the influence Mike Dean should do one too, he'd defend anyone.
