  1. Vital win. Performance wasn't great but the win papers over that.
  2. Hopefully Notts can nick it. Solihull are playing well. No fear.
  3. Solihull are a tough nut to crack. They are a point above us with a game in hand. Looking at the table, we can't really afford to lose this game. We are in a real battle just to make the playoffs which to be fair is disappointing given the squad we have.
  4. Hello? Is this on? Sorry, a weak attempt at humour...... Must win game for us. Can't afford to lose anymore ground in the title race. Torquay are a decent side but Notts should be beating them at home. 2-1 to Notts I reckon.
  5. Teams should fear coming to Meadow Lane. They don't because they have a fair idea of how Notts will play. We give up the initiative and good teams take advantage.
  6. Gone exactly as I thought it would. Notts off the pace, Hartlepool playing with confidence. I'd expect Notts to pick up in the 2nd half. I think we'll pick up at least a point.
  7. I'm a little apprehensive about this one. The monkey hangers are on form. They hammered Stockport 4-0 and beat Halifax 3-1. Notts will be coming in cold. It's a game Notts should be winning but.....
  8. King's Lynn are bottom feeders in this division. They will do well to stay up. They have conceded 30 goals in 13 games and only scored 17. They haven't won in their last 3 league games. I'd be very disappointed if we lost this game. 3-0 to Notts is my guess.
  9. Even at this stage, automatic promotion looks unlikely. Just got to concentrate on sealing a playoff place now.
  10. On the surface, you would think this would be a straight forward game for Notts. Drill down and you'll find reasons as to why it might be tougher than expected. Boreham Wood have only conceded 8 goals in 10 games. They went to Torquay and picked up a draw. It might take a while to break them down but I think Notts will. 1-0 home win I reckon.
  11. Torquay are the target. 8 points is a lot but Notts need to keep the pressure on. Avoiding the playoff lottery is vital.
  12. Notts are gaining momentum. They only thing they didn't do was score at Dagenham. Eventually there will be a landslide victory and this is it I reckon. 5-0 to the Pies.
  13. 2 points dropped given Notts were the better side. Keeps the run going so won't complain.
  14. Anything less than 3 points would be disappointing. If we are serious about automatic promotion then these are the games we have to be winning.
  15. Well, well, well. NA gets out of jail! Great fight back in fairness. Vital 3 points. Celtic will probably sack Neil Lennon. He might have come to Notts. It's about the same standard ????
  16. 2-1 to Chesterfield now. Who do you think the new manager will be? No way NA will remain in charge after this surely
  17. 1-1 now. Hard to say which way it will go.
  18. It's a steady decline to be honest. The basics are not even being executed now. Sloppy in possession. Switching off at key moments. Making catastrophic errors that lead to goals. The team needs a collective kick up the arse. The complacency is just not good enough.
  19. We got what we deserved last night. Halifax were unlucky not to be level before they actually did from what was an awful piece of defending. This team is not getting the basics right and we are being punished. It's the same excuses rolled out after the ever increasing number of below par performances. The team are not correcting their mistakes. Have they lost confidence in NA? I think that may well be the case. I hate to say it but this game has defeat written all over it. 2-1 to Chesterfield after another poor performance is my prediction and we'll have a managerial vacancy before Monday. I want NA to succeed because we need stability but he's testing the loyalty of his most ardent supporters.
  20. 7 games played. 3 wins. 1 draw. 3 defeats. Playing catch up already. Notts never do it the easy way.
  21. Talk about a banana skin fixture for Notts. Just like Dover (lost) and Aldershot (lost), it's a trend that needs to end. Halifax haven't scored in their last 3 games, including a 2-0 defeat at South Shields in the FA Cup. If this was a normal season, no interruptions, I think Notts would win this comfortably, but it isn't s normal season and the stop start nature isn't helping Notts. I'll go for 1-0 to Notts. This is a chance to gain ground on Torquay who aren't playing tomorrow.
  22. You'd expect a response to Saturday's farcical performance. They responded well after the 1-0 defeat at Dover so you'd hope they will do the same again. Stockport had a fantastic win at Rochdale in the cup but they had lost to Weymouth at home and drawn with Solihull before that. Stockport are arguably a top 5 side in this division so it will be one of the tougher games. I don't think we can afford to lose this one, I know it's only November but we'll be playing catch up again this season if we do lose. I think we'll get a strong response so 2-1 to Notts.
  23. It's a miserable day here. Dark and wet. This result fits the day perfectly. Hard to understand how Notts haven't scored again against a team that Notts should be beating. It's Dover part 2. There are extenuating circumstances so we'll take it on the chin and move on.
  24. I thought this game was off. It's hard to know how it will go. Avoiding defeat would be enough given the circumstances.
  25. I think this will be postponed because of COVID. Call me Mystic Meg ????
