  1. Well done to Alex Bass! He was superb yesterday. He has been very good all season so far.
  2. Alex Bass has to be Man of the Match. His shot-stopping and decision-making were spot on, especially during the second half when Carlisle pushed harder. That save late in the game was massive, ensuring we kept the clean sheet. But it’s not just about the saves – it’s the way he commands his area. You can see the defenders trust him, and that’s crucial when you’re under pressure. His ability to handle crosses and make the right decisions in the box was a key part of why we looked so solid at the back.
  3. I hope the fans who are going wrap up warm and manage to see the lads put on a performance worthy of our loyal away support. It’s going to take all our players working hard to put on a good show. We can’t rely on one or two players to carry the others; they have to work together, and then the result should come. Carlisle will want the points just as much as we do, so that will be interesting.
  4. I thought several players did well, but my Man of the Match would be David McGoldrick. I thought the Morecambe voters made a sensible decision with their player. Had it been Notts, I don’t think we would agree that the sponsors chose rightly.
  5. Jacob Bedeau has been very solid throughout September. He gets my vote for this.
  6. It was certainly a frustrating draw, especially given our dominance in possession. The most disappointing aspect was our failure to take advantage of Morecambe being reduced to 10 men. While the team showed great character to come back and equalise, it still feels like a missed opportunity. McGoldrick put in a tireless effort, but he lacked the necessary support. Additionally, the high number of fouls was concerning and significantly disrupted our play. Moving forward, we need to be more clinical in front of goal and reduce unnecessary fouls. Despite the frustrations, it’s still a point on the road, and we must build on this as we head into the next matches.
  7. A frustrating draw indeed, especially with how we dominated possession. What's more disappointing is our inability to capitalise on Morecambe being down to 10 men. The team showed character to come back and equalise, but it feels like a missed opportunity. McGoldrick worked tirelessly, but he simply didn't have the support he needed. The foul count was also alarming and disrupted our play considerably. Moving forward, we need to be more clinical in front of goal and cut down on unnecessary fouls. Still, it's a point on the road and we have to build on this going into the next matches.
  8. The academy deserves a lot of credit for nurturing a talent like Kameron Muir. Breaking a record at 15 is one thing, but to do so with such a calm and mature attitude shows that he’s got the mentality to match his ability. His journey from grassroots football to Notts County’s first team is a great example of hard work paying off. I love that he thought he’d just be there for the experience, only to actually get on the pitch. Moments like these are what football’s all about, not just for him, but for his family and all those who have supported him along the way.
  9. Jodi Jones was class until he was forced off. I think he was brilliant playing out wide and had a good game.
  10. A massive game on the cards this weekend! Notts have been superb this season, especially at home, and I believe we can give Gillingham a tough time. The injuries are a concern, but seeing McDonald back in training is encouraging. This clash is likely to be decided by the midfield battle, and I trust Crowley to lead us. Gillingham’s counter-attacks could be tricky, but our unbeaten streak at Meadow Lane gives me a lot of confidence. A proper test, but I’m backing the lads to get all three points.
  11. What strikes me the most is his genuine passion for Notts County. Players like him, who care deeply for their club, are rare these days. His humility and team-first attitude, especially when he talks about assists, are admirable. The bond he has with the fans and his determination to help the club achieve promotion show he’s more than just a player; he’s a key part of the community. It’s this kind of spirit and drive that will push Notts forward.
  12. What a match! The early goals against us were a bit of a shock, but the way the team regrouped was brilliant. Jodi Jones was outstanding, not just for winning the penalty and scoring twice, but for his overall influence on the game. Our possession dominance showed we were in control, and Bromley couldn't handle our pressure. Alex Bass' saves were top drawer, especially the one from Webster to keep us in the lead. Crowley and Jatta were superb, showing great chemistry. Stuart Maynard deserves credit for turning things around strategically. This match has definitely set the tone for the rest of the season and given us fans a lot of optimism.
  13. It's fantastic to see Notts County's new signings making such a huge impact already. Bass has been a fantastic addition to the squad, showing real prowess in goal, while Bedeau and Platt are bringing much-needed stability to the defence. Grant adds creativity and flair in midfield, linking up plays smoothly. This team's ability to adapt and their versatility is evident. The chemistry forming between the new and existing players is very promising. I’m sure this season will see us achieving great things, especially with the tactical flexibility Stuart Maynard has introduced. It feels like we’re gearing up for a successful campaign.
  14. Great photos, @Chris! You're a true asset to the club. Your fan photos are brilliant and always worth checking out. I hope your Faces of PON gallery gets popular on x.com too! Notts wouldn't be the same without you and your passion.
  15. Paul Devlin was a top player! He was a real workhorse for Notts County during those great early-to-mid 90s. He could score and create goals, making him a valuable asset. He did brilliantly for Birmingham City and Sheffield United too, always giving his all on the pitch. By the time he reached Walsall, he might have been past his peak, but it's a shame they didn't keep him longer.
  16. He could be a good player. Every player is unique and can excel in the right environment. Notts County's style of play should suit him. I hope he has good pace.
  17. What a performance by McGoldrick! He truly stepped up when we needed him most. It was a crucial win for the Magpies, and the defence was rock solid in the final minutes. The team spirit on display tonight was inspiring. Onwards and upwards, Notts!
  18. He did a honourable job with Notts. His time flew by, and the season was very impactful. I am saddened by his passing. Rest in peace, Sven.
  19. Transfer Centre 9 also claimed that Jodi Jones had agreed terms with Wrexham. But we know that there was no real offer or interest. The interest was there before he signed with us permanently.
  20. Most things are a crime down there, at least to some people. Funny skit!
  21. Notts showed how mighty we can be. It helps to ease the worry about scoring goals. It would be nice to see this form on the road, and the performances as I think Meadow Lane will be able to get good results. It’s away from home where I am unsure, but yesterday convinced me to be optimistic about things.
  22. As the season progresses, there’s every chance that if we are doing well, both players will renew. The interest should remain even if they were to extend one year. All it does is increase the amount of money Notts might be able to expect. I can’t see either of them leaving during this transfer window. Hopefully, by the next, we have pleased them enough to convince Dan Crowley and Jodi Jones that we are pushing for promotion. Players love being part of promotion-winning squads, so if the deal isn’t done before the season is over and we miss out, or even if we do, we may have a harder time convincing them with potentially more interest due to them being available on a free, provided their deals are not extended.
  23. Curtis Edwards was fantastic against Grimsby Town. His advanced role allowed him to be more involved and he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. What’s great is how he gives credit to the team and the fans. It’s always encouraging to see a player who values the support of his teammates and the positive atmosphere created by the fans. Edwards is certainly a key player to watch this season, and I’m excited to see how he progresses.
  24. A thoroughly enjoyable match! Notts showcased their attacking prowess with a brilliant display. Jatta’s early goal was just the beginning, and Crowley’s contributions were phenomenal. The 3-1 lead at half-time was well-earned, and despite Grimsby’s late first-half goal, the team maintained their composure. Our defence stood strong in the second half, ensuring Grimsby couldn’t mount a comeback. It’s performances like these that make you proud to be a fan. The players’ synergy was evident, and everyone played their part. This victory will no doubt boost the team’s morale. Can’t wait to see more of this attacking flair and resilience in upcoming matches. Well done, lads!
  25. Really thrilled to see Jacob Bedeau making such a positive impact right from his first match. It's never easy to adapt to a new team, especially in the cauldron of League Two football, but Bedeau showed he's more than up for the challenge. Keeping Tranmere Rovers at bay and securing a point at Prenton Park is not an easy task. His calmness and versatility, shifting between positions and maintaining the defensive solidity, were impressive. His comments about the team's philosophy and settling into the game reflect a good understanding and alignment with the manager's vision. Looking forward to seeing more clean sheets and solid performances!
