  1. It sounds like the usual minor injuries and fatigue that come with preseason training. Can't wait to see the team in action once the season starts.
  2. A big welcome to our newest member of the PON community! @BeestonPie
  3. What strikes me most about Williams' approach after the game is his commitment to open communication regarding the areas that need improvement. This honesty will surely resonate with the players, fostering mutual respect, accountability, and drive to do better. The fact that Williams personally took responsibility for causing the distraction that led to Forest's goal shows his maturity and leadership. This can't be easy but it's this kind of attitude and behaviour that elevates a good coach to a great one. I'm eager to see how the team evolves and improves in the coming weeks.
  4. Matt Palmer has been incredible. He makes a lot of what he does look so simple. Heโ€™s a player who puts his own self-pride ahead of anything else, and for that reason, he doesnโ€™t make many mistakes. You can see when heโ€™s annoyed with himself, and I think thatโ€™s his driving force - he personally wants to do better.
  5. Reading about Vinter's contribution to the teams he played for, especially Notts County, is a testament to his prowess in football. His goal-scoring instincts and physical attributes are still remembered and admired today.
  6. The most exciting and my personal favourite tends to be the same person. I voted for Jodi Jones. Itโ€™s really difficult not to vote for him. Heโ€™s extremely talented and should be playing at a much higher level. Thankfully, heโ€™s with us for the next two years. I hope that within that time, we will have progressed further with him on the team.
  7. Very positive message, which I agree with. Jim is a very handy player to have and he hasnโ€™t had a single bad season for us. Maybe the odd game, but everyone does. Iโ€™m thrilled he has signed the one-year deal. I think he will again prove himself to be a useful member of the team.
  8. Since our time in the Non-League, Ruben has been the brightest light when it comes to his ambition and fight; he has shown pure determination and I wish him nothing but success. I hope the move to Oxford United works out for him.
  9. I think some would complain if it was longer than a year without knowing if Jim still has it in him. I do feel he could contribute longer than what we offered and I wouldnโ€™t have minded the standard 2-year deal myself. As said before, it gives him time to choose. I would like to see the club retain him as a coach though.
  10. McGoldrickโ€™s aim to finish his career at Notts County is admirable and shows his dedication to the club. Iโ€™m sure heโ€™ll be a valuable asset to the team and will contribute to their success.
  11. Jodi has been a real asset for Notts and Iโ€™m sure heโ€™ll be a valuable player for Malta as well.
  12. I donโ€™t have much interest outside of Notts to pay close attention; I may check occasionally, but not as frequently as every game or even once a month.
  13. Itโ€™s great to see many old and new members on PON. Itโ€™s been a bit quiet today, but over the past week it has been very lively. Every now and then itโ€™s normal for things to slow down. I just hope that we, as a community, can continue to make this a fun place to be.
  14. Jodi Jones' signing is a fantastic deal for Notts County. His speed and trickery make him a top-notch player who can elevate the team's game. He was phenomenal during his loan spell and it's great news that he will be staying with the team for longer.
  15. This is a huge coup for Notts County. Jodi Jones is a star in the making who can play at a higher level. Heโ€™s got everything you need to succeed as a winger: agility, technique, intelligence and finishing. He was outstanding during his loan spell and Iโ€™m thrilled heโ€™s staying with us for longer.
  16. I don't believe that the club would be in its current state if it weren't for the heartbreak of relegation. It's easy to ponder about what could have been, but the National League has been a decent place for the club over the past four years. We have had four years of reasonable success, with the club improving each season. In my opinion, that can only be a good thing. The club has shown resilience and determination to bounce back from the disappointment of relegation and has made steady progress in the National League.
  17. Retaining key players and adding depth to the squad will be crucial for Nottsโ€™ success. This will give them the best chance of achieving their goals and finishing in a strong position. By keeping their star players and adding depth to their squad, Notts can continue to deliver strong performances on the field and compete with the best.
  18. Well done Macca! Youโ€™ve shown us what a top, top player looks like. Your skill and precision on the field have been truly impressive, and youโ€™ve consistently delivered outstanding performances. Youโ€™ve proven yourself to be a top-tier player and we canโ€™t wait to see what youโ€™ll achieve next.
  19. I appreciate that the owners are doing everything they can to maintain a strong nucleus of a side that has achieved so much this season. Their efforts to retain key figures from this seasonโ€™s squad show their dedication to building a successful team.
  20. I really donโ€™t know. I donโ€™t want to get carried away or promote unhealthy expectations because we need to be aware that things might not be easy when adapting to life back in League Two.
  21. Itโ€™s heart-warming to see how much Luke Williams values the connection between the team and its fans. He understands how meaningful it is to share special moments and experiences with the supporters who have been there through thick and thin.
  22. It's not as much of a guessing game anymore. I reckon Notts are a lot more determined now, and under Luke Williams, the squad has been relentless in pressuring teams at times. I just hope it's not one of those off days. We need to see a determined Notts County. Although I think Wrexham have the title in the bag, I'd like to see the club break 100 points and finish the season as strongly as possible.
  23. The start of the season seemed different in a good way, being undefeated for so long and that one game seems to have stung the players more, leading to the two collapsed defeats. Well, I hope Yeovil will be a different outcome. I think Notts could win 2-0, if they work hard enough.
  24. ???? its great to have you at Meadow Lane, Joel.
  25. The pies are on the up, mighty, mighty pies. Great performance on BT Sports, I hope the weather is better in London when they make their trip to Wembley.
