  1. Very good idea, will look to take part myself. 25 people should be a lot easier than the last but I thought that ran rather smoothly for the first time.
  2. Agreed a win would be a good thing leading into Mansfield, it would give confidence but the results around us need to help. If they pick up points, then we are in the same situation. I do feel Notts can win Forest Green.
  3. Losing to Yeovil is like throwing in the towel, there was no response and the teams playing awful. I fear they're too far gone for Neal Ardley to change much, scraping results together to climb out seems impossible.
  4. Well done to all four members who have won this raffle. You are all lucky people!
  5. Get a win and it could be enough to start to push back out of the relegation, I'm sorry but a draw here and there is a good thing. It isn't something to be relied upon.
  6. I thought Notts would throw it away around the 80th minute mark, so imagine my reaction to Notts claiming a solid point after the last woeful defeat. They need to step it up from here and learn to be more clinical, Nathan Thomas was wasteful on goal.
  7. It was a nightmare from start to finish, it was almost like Grimsby had watched footage of all our goals conceded and stuck to a game plan that made us woeful at the back.
  8. The win is more important than 3 points, it gives Notts something to build on and the ability to climb further up is there now. Before this, it looked unlikely but a few wins and things could be much healthier. Fantastic win and performance.
  9. Why on earth has Richard Duffy started? It looks like a strong squad and I would imagine it's close to Ardley's starting lineup against Mansfield. Disappointed!!
  10. Terrible performance and no leadership on or off the pitch. I left for home after all the issues started happening, Meadow Lane becomes a nasty place to visit when people can't take losing.
  11. Just don't concede any silly goals and make sure Fitzsimons is communicating well with the defence. That is all I ask!
  12. I would be interested to see the goals, I will dig them out in a moment but this result is a shambles. The squad had plenty of time to prepare and the game should have changed going 2-0 not leaving it off.
  13. I don't expect a win but it would be nice, this game I would take a draw because it would be positive still. It's a difficult game.
  14. I am delighted with the performance and 3 points gained. I felt Crewe did well, they looked more aggressive in the first half. They passed the ball around differently and that made it hard for Notts, the reshuffle in the second half helped correct the balance.
  15. Notts have to get that first win now whilst the gap isn't that large, the pressure may get worse if they don't pull themselves together now. I know Notts tends to make it harder for themselves but now is the time to rise. 1-0 win. I am predicting a better defensive show but still worries about dropsee Fitz.
  16. Good game, poor goals that ended up being conceded and further signs that we have more than a defence issues. The positives is are there for once.
  17. If Oxlade-Chamberlain can get his act together, Notts could have a lot of pace on the wings with the arrival of Evina. This could leave Jones to be used as backup in the centre. The squad doesn't need anymore additions unless a goalkeeper is available, I feel this set of players must start to work as a team and lift their own morale up. Tomorrow is looking more appealing now.
  18. Harry Kewell sent off, he's been sent to the stand. 4-1. Games over!
  19. Game over folks. If Notts prevents a 4th from going in, that will be about the only thing we can hope for. How disappointing!
  20. The display was much worse than under Kevin Nolan. Notts picked the ball up and defended quite well early on but that soon stopped, nobody seemed to want the ball apart from David Vaughan who chased things down and used the ball well especially in the first half. How he continues to draw criticism whilst Ross Fitzsimons is defended is baffling. He seem will get stick for trying, whilst others are a big disappointment. Dan Jones also made the defence very weak in my opinion and Elliot Hewitt needs to be dropped. The game was not a 3-1 encounter, Forest Green barely played better than Notts.
  21. It's hard to think Notts can get anything from this when I don't know what Steve Chettle brings. It could go anyway, it all depends on how they perform.
  22. 2-1 another balls up by Fitzsimons.
  23. If you look and watch his eyes, he seems to be hurting. Some fans should cut him more slack and try to think how they are impacting the current situation.
  24. We are having the complete opposite to last season. Hardworking Notts squad fights for the playoffs, technically good squad on paper struggling to do the backs and sinking quicker to the bottom of the league than we have experienced before. Last nights result is shocking, Nolan now needs to address the issue by making changes.
  25. I wouldn't say it's unbalanced myself, the players are just failing to grasp the tactics and game instructions. The relapse in the defence can be blamed on several players being desperately out of form, combined with incompetence and a lack of discipline. I enjoyed the blog @Piethagoram despite our views differing.
