  1. Once you've had a taste of the National League, it's hard not to follow it closely. I'm curious, which teams others are most hopeful about going up next season? Other than Boreham Wood.
  2. It's a shame when a signing doesn't work out, but it happens to the best of clubs. Hopefully Notts can learn from the mistake of signing players like this but good luck to him in the future.
  3. Great article by @Chris interviewing @Fan of Big Tone, its brilliant
  4. The description of Tony Hateley’s return to Meadow Lane gave me goosebumps. What an unforgettable moment that must have been for all the fans in attendance. To see their hero return to the club and lead them to success must have been an incredible experience.
  5. I believe Notts will do well because of the strength and unity of their squad. Luke Williams deserves recognition for his contributions to the team. I’d also like to thank Simon Clark for writing about this topic. It’s always inspiring to see teams bounce back after losing in the previous year’s final. It demonstrates their resilience and determination to come back even stronger and achieve success.
  6. Langstaff has truly been a phenomenal hero this season. He has scored some truly remarkable goals and has provided endless entertainment for all those watching. His performances have been nothing short of spectacular.
  7. Super Sam in middle of our goal! Happy to see him stay, he's a fantastic keeper and has a wealth of experience.
  8. Did you overlook the @ symbol as well? That should have prompted you to pay closer attention. I suspect you’re not being entirely truthful, @super_ram. I bet you skimmed over the clue. ????
  9. Rawlinson is a class act, both as a player and as a person. He’s always been loyal and dedicated to Notts and he deserves this reward. He’s been a key part of our success and I’m sure he’ll continue to be. He’s got the experience and the mentality to help us challenge for the title next season.
  10. I'm very disappointed in @super_ram. I gave him a clue very early on and he didn't bother to even have a go. The number of times he's asked if the player had any connection to Derby County... and when you say yes, he doesn't even have a go. Well done, @Fan of Big Tone. You've guessed correctly. @Fozzy needs to be careful! Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 3 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie- 1 @super_ram - 1 Right, now we’ve reached round 10. I’ll come back tomorrow to do round 11. When we get to round 20, I’ll throw in some trivia and see if anyone can gain some bonus points. There’s logic to my madness and madness to my mayhem. Make sure you keep an eye on this!
  11. This is brill news, isn't it? His know-how and spirit are spot on for moving things ahead. Well chuffed he's got a 2-year deal. Great news!
  12. @Fan of Big Tone Ha! Don’t take me too seriously. My comment was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour. There’s no harm in searching; I just like to make things a bit more challenging for myself! No, his career continued for almost another decade @Fozzy. ????????
  13. Here's the rephrased sentence in UK spelling: "I'm checking VAR. Did you search Google, @Fan of Big Tone? You've guessed the correct answer! ???? Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 2 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie- 1 @super_ram - 1 Round 10 clue: This person was born in October and is a former professional footballer from England. He last played for a team in the East Midlands and he knew where the net is. Can you guess who it is? Yes @super_ram, ????????
  14. Technically, he is English and was born in a region near Manchester. He is an Englishman who has forgotten.
  15. Guys, feel free to ask questions. If you don't know, that's the only other way you will get closer. He represented his other sport in the late 80s. His time at Notts may have been forgotten, but he remains a legend with the club where he made his name. He identified himself as a national of another country.
  16. He became a different player once we started playing him out of position. In midfield, he was quite good, but after his spell in defence, he became woeful. He keeps bouncing around Midlands non-league teams; he should settle.
  17. Has this run its course? If no one guesses, I'll call it a day doing this.
  18. There are members missing in action who, for some reason, don’t post. Life does get in the way and the club’s interest may peak or allow them to lose interest. With all due respect, I care not for those who aren’t present but for those who are. I think @Piethagoram has been amazing since arriving and deserves to be named the Member of the Year. If past members want to get involved, that’s good. If they choose to sit it out for whatever reason, so be it. I don’t miss them; I only miss those who can’t be here like @GrannyPie and @Who r ya?? You Pies!!.
  19. Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 1 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie - 1 @super_ram - 1 Round 9 Clue: This person was born in a region of the UK known for its textile industry and started their career with a football club located in Greater Manchester. They were voted as the greatest-ever in their position by fans of a certain club. They also represented their country in two sports. Can you guess who it is?
  20. I’m happy for you and your family, Adam. You’ve faced challenges but have shown strength and courage. Macaulay is lucky to have such caring parents and siblings. I hope he grows up to love Notts County as much as you do.
  21. The Samsung Tab series is excellent. Surface Pros are also popular and you can find one that runs Windows 10/11 natively with apps. They use ARM processors, which are efficient but not as powerful as laptop/computer CPUs. I would recommend avoiding Apple. While their products are good for those who can afford them, it can be difficult to get certain models repaired in a timely manner if something goes wrong.
  22. @Fan of Big Tone - no, neither of those two players. In my opinion, he didn’t spend much time at Notts. His career wasn’t as successful as @liampie’s. I don’t want to comment on that. However, he is known for participating in many charity games.
  23. I wouldn’t know who to suggest at this stage. I do plan to take a look at the free agent list to see if I spot any good talent. I think the club will have already made contact with most of their targets.
  24. Round 8 has arrived and it's uncertain whether it will be challenging or straightforward. The hope is that it will be more difficult and require several rounds of clues. Best of luck to all! Clue: This person is an English football coach and former professional footballer. They began their career with a Premier League side and went on to play for several Football League teams before playing in Non-league. They returned to one of their former teams as a joint player/manager before departing at the end of a season. Can you guess who this person is? Points Table @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 1 @KB1862 - 1 @super_ram - 1
