  9. Some very good players have been mentioned, but I agree with those who think the club will wait until January. We usually spend money in the transfer window, and I am not expecting or demanding that we do. It is just that we signed Jatta in January, along with Mai Traore and Will Jarvis, all for respectable fees at this level and in League One. I think the club will be looking for the right player to bring in. Still, there are many on this list who I would love to see join us.

  11. Rest in Peace, Dickie Bird. One of the few names I am aware of from the cricket scene, and I think it speaks for itself that.
  12. I watched the match through the red button on Sky and thought Notts started well. It felt like one of those games where we would score early and then take control. Crewe had a few tidy moments, but I wasn’t worried until they scored from a corner. That goal seemed to unsettle us and change how we played. Crewe had a good spell for about ten to fifteen minutes after their goal. During that time, we looked sloppy and struggled to get back into the rhythm of the game. Once Notts found their footing again, they were clearly the better side over the full ninety minutes. Crewe were physical, with elbows flying, pushing and falling to the ground, but they did offer something going forward. They looked sharp on the counter, and Martin Paterson needs to find a way to help Notts stay solid by attacking more, rather than letting the pressure build through corners. It was gutting to lose to a penalty, especially when we had two clear shouts ourselves that could have changed the outcome. James Golding and Jack Lankester were lucky to stay on the pitch. Golding should have been sent off after three separate offences. He elbowed Scott Robertson, shoved Jodi off the ball, kicked him on purpose, and pulled Alassana Jatta’s shirt so hard he couldn’t move. The referee saw it was a foul but didn’t show a card. Lankester also hit and kicked Robertson, then tried to make it look like Robertson was the one at fault. I hope Notts reports both incidents to the FA. Positives: Good performance away from home Tyrese Hall is starting to settle in Jodi looked back to his best Nick Tsaroulla scored a brilliant goal Notts played the better football overall Negatives: Gave away a soft penalty Lacked sharpness in front of goal Poor marking for Crewe’s first goal Slow to respond after conceding early on
  13. I think it's better to look at the gesture in terms of what it means for the club, rather than how it might affect us as fans. That gives a more balanced and fair view. When you take away the emotional side and focus on the club itself, people tend to think more clearly. It helps to see things as they are, not just how they feel. I believe it's a positive move. I don't see it as a way to silence fans or stop criticism. The Reedtz brothers are clever businessmen, and writing off £10 million shows they care about the club before anything else.

  16. I hope we can move on from the Gillingham match and show that we’re improving, especially at home. It’s important to start picking up wins again and build some confidence. Notts don’t need to say we have to win ugly or play well every time. I just want to see progress and let the football speak for itself. Crawley should be a good test for Martin Paterson. I think they’ll make the first half tricky, and we’ll need to use the bench well in the second half to keep control and push for the result.
