  1. Chris and Alex have done wonderfully well. They are prepared to put the club first and have shown strong leadership. The fact they don’t crumble to the fans, especially those who call for the manager so often and complain that it’s embarrassing when the club does, shows their focus on making sure the club achieves its goals not in the short but long term.
  2. I thought Notts were class throughout the game. I felt very impressed that nerves never seemed to be a problem. As for Grimsby scoring, it was a consolation goal for the travelling 1,400 odd fans that took the trip on Thursday afternoon. They were pretty quiet most of the time, but that dedication to attending the fixture deserves respect. We should have all gone home very happy. Isn’t it good not to have any complaints about the referee? For once, it was Grimsby fans calling out the official. Stuart Maynard has the chance to get this out of the squad more often, and it shows how the squad are settling in together.
  3. I can’t imagine working in football, especially for the club you support. Whilst it could be the dream job, I think there are aspects that could make you end up disliking football. It’s not an easy thing to do for work, but good luck to him.
  4. A lot of teething problems, hopefully the club will improve it. It might take a bit of time, but since Notts are unlikely to switch platforms again, it should be fixed.
  5. We shouldn’t worry. Our players will always be linked with other clubs. The main thing is to have hope that the club can discourage offers. Having players near to their expiry may tempt clubs to wait, or they might put in lower offers. I would be more pleased to see the club extending the contracts of the players they deem to be important.

  7. It’s a very nice gesture that I hope people who win enjoy having the print. There’s not much in life that you can get for free, so respect for doing something community-focused.

  9. Fair play for taking the pictures. It’s good to see the match captured from the fans’ perspective. I see a lot of regular faces from previous galleries. Not a complaint. It must be nice to have those fans wanting to have their pictures taken.
  10. I am hopeful Notts can put on a good show and performance, as a win would be a big boost. A similar squad to Tranmere, with Conor Grant maybe starting, could work. Meadow Lane has to be a fortress, especially with all the season ticket sales and expected crowds. Stuart Maynard might make some changes, but I hope Alex Bass is in and that the defence is as close to our opening fixture as possible.
  11. Great debut, very calm on the ball and eager to get involved. He did well defending and attacking. I think Jacob Bedeau could become the signing of the season. It’s early days, but I feel confident making this statement. I hope he continues as he started.
  12. I also wish them well with their new season. It would be nice to see them playing in the WSL or Championship.
  13. MK Dons appear to be the team to beat this season. They have joined signed Nemane from us, so with the addition of Sherring and Offord, their defensive woes from last year might be a thing of the past. Hendry's arrival up front is exciting; his ability to both score and link up play could be the final piece in their promotion puzzle. Williamson seems to have a clear vision and the talent to execute it. The combination of a robust defence, creative midfield, and lethal forwards makes them formidable. However, it all boils down to whether they have learnt from their previous shortcomings and can maintain consistency throughout the season. Intrigued to see how they fare!

  15. Fleetwood’s ability to recruit top-notch midfielders despite losing players to League 1 is commendable. Matty Virtue and Elliott Bonds should provide the strength needed in the middle of the park. It's no secret that good midfield control can often dictate the success of a team over the season. Chesterfield being bookies’ favourites is a bit surprising to me. While Madden and Dunkley are solid additions, I share the opinion that topping the table might be a stretch. A play-off spot seems more realistic given the current squad’s depth. Let's not forget the unpredictable nature of football; surprises can always happen.
  16. @Mark Holland, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. It's nice to be say hello to you.
  17. Ian Marsden’s story is truly touching, highlighting the deep connection between football and life. His steadfast commitment to Notts County, even in the face of personal challenges, shows a resilience that resonates with many fans. His continued enjoyment of the game, particularly when he shares it with his daughter Paige, adds a heartfelt dimension to his story. Balancing his passion for football with family duties, especially during Wendy’s illness, emphasises the strength of the community and the comfort that football can bring.
  18. It’s great to hear positive feedback about Alex Kirk during his trial. I think having players who can cover multiple positions, like centre back and wing back, is a fantastic move. The versatility adds flexibility to our squad, allowing us to adapt to different tactical scenarios. Having come through Arsenal’s academy, he’s likely had good training and development, setting a solid foundation for his career. The real test will be how he adapts to our team dynamics and performs against tougher competition. If he continues to show promise, I believe he could be a valuable addition. It’s all about seeing if his initial performance can translate into consistent play. Our recruitment team has a good track record, so I trust their judgment.
  19. We’ve all had our share of frustrations with unwanted visitors. A simple notice on the door sounds like a great idea. We have to remember that not everyone knocking is ill-intentioned; some are just trying to earn a living. However, personal comfort and safety come first. These notices can help us find that balance.
  20. I think it’s brilliant that Jatta is hitting the ground running with Notts. Scoring two goals is a great start, even though it was just a friendly. Sometimes players need that initial confidence boost, and Jatta seems to have gotten it. What I find particularly encouraging is his ability to hold off defenders and maintain possession, as that’s crucial in tighter matches. Considering our past season and the need for a forward that can hold up the ball, Jatta could very well be our answer. Pairing him up with Cedwyn Scott might open up our attacking options.
  21. This wouldn’t have helped Derby at all. Is he a Derby supporter or just someone trying to stash his money away? I don’t know much about him, to be honest, but this news is surprising.
  22. They’re quite unique, aren’t they? I don’t need one, but they do look appealing. The feet seem a bit odd, but the rest is pretty cool. Has anyone bought one?
  23. Good luck to him. I haven’t seen much from the games I’ve watched, but spotting potential is something that requires a keen footballing eye.
  24. Now that it’s happened, it’s irrelevant. It was his decision, and Notts isn’t in a position to retain players who are unhappy. Once a player indicates that they’re considering or want to move on, the club can either offer a new deal and hope that makes a difference, or they can try to accommodate the player’s wishes and attempt to transfer them.
  25. Something’s got to give, but the new faces could be a boon. If Cole Palmer doesn’t make the team, I’d be gutted because he’s been exceptional every time he’s played.
