  1. Defensively we have improved leaps and bounds. The team has belief throughout and that really makes for the intake of Stuarts game plans and football philosophy. They run and play for each other, which in turn works well in both attack and defensively. Also having a squad capable of covering each other breeds confidence and maintains healthy competition. Long may it last. COYP.
  2. A warm welcome to @BeestonPie Hope you enjoy the site
  3. We need to stay positive and rally behind our team and manager. The lack of point gathering of late is disappointing to say the least, but remember where we have come from and the blood sweat and tears shed both on and off the pitch. The whole family at Notts County need to be encouraged and applauded for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Our team may be underperforming at the moment but with a little encouragement and positivity we will return to the good times soon enough.
  4. Looking at our dismal away performances of late I think like you all we need to adopt an away strategy along with a plan 'b' which is something that is never implemented because there is no plan 'b'. Although we have stepped up to a league where some players are out of their comfort zone, realising and doing something about it is another matter. The January window now offers us a chance to rectify that and bulk up the squad. Again I agree that if we thought at this juncture of the season we'd be in a playoff position last year, no problem we would of jumped at it. COYP
  5. After all Luke and his team have achieved at this club, don't think he is finished with the project just yet. Too many boxes haven't been ticked as Luke himself admitted a couple of weeks ago. His love of the Fans, the Club and the relationship between him and the brothers says no go to me.
  6. Dan the man is becoming an icon so early in the season, coming to terms and building on his game with ease with the help of our fantastic backroom staff, other players and our superb manager. Long may it continue.
  7. A win always will give confidence and it was the way we turned things around after that prolific volley from Mr Bostock. The positive feel around the Lane fed back to the players and hey presto they battled for the win right to the very end. I don't know about anyone else but the feeling was we have got this. Even Luke said he had got his team back. Tonight will be another test and I think the boys will rise to the occasion, COYP.
  8. My grandson along with myself are Season ticket holders and this season my granddaughter wanted to join us so ended up purchasing 4. The spare being for other grandson or wife. We can't wait for the first home match. COYP. Division 2 bring it on.
  9. Welcome to @BeestonPiemay you enjoy the good positive vibe on this wonderful platform.
  10. We must learn to respect the efforts of all our players, they don't make mistakes or play bad on purpose. These friendly games are there for Luke and his staff along with his players to prepare for the up and coming season. The information gathered helps inform the decision making process for on and off the field giving all including the fans great hope for another successful season. Therefore enjoy without judgement.
  11. Great analysis of our first 5 fixtures and I agree Sutton is the one to help settle into playing to the Luke Williams tune. Although Grimsby has the potential to give us a barometer of what's ahead of us over the coming weeks and months I feel that will come after the first half dozen games once we get bedded into the league. Exciting times ahead, can't wait for the season to begin. COYP.
