Notts County Bolsters Midfield with Curtis Edwards on Two-Year Deal
Curtis Edwards joining Notts County is exciting news. His history of playing in Europa League matches, including against Arsenal, should bring a lot of excitement to the fans. It’s great to see our board and recruitment team bringing in players with genuine pedigree. I’m really looking forward to seeing him in action at Meadow Lane. Welcome, Curtis!

Notts Wing-Back/Full-Back recommendations 2024/25 season
Do you think it would be sensible to make another defensive signing? If Connell Rawlinson were to leave on loan or as a free transfer, it could potentially create some room. Personally, I wouldn’t oppose bringing in someone like Lewis Macari, who could be a promising addition for the future.

Nick Tsaroulla Joins Our Ranks on a Two-Year Deal
It’s inspiring to see how far he’s come, his journey through Crawley Town has been nothing short of spectacular. Aiding in promotion speaks volumes of his talent and determination. I’m thrilled he’s now with us and look forward to seeing how he contributes to our squad. His ability to perform in both offensive and defensive roles will be crucial.

Incoming, new goalkeeper
Fantastic news indeed! Alex Bass’s outstanding season at Wimbledon is a testament to his skill between the posts. His arrival promises to bolster our defensive line significantly for the upcoming season. With his proven track record, Bass is set to be a tremendous asset for Notts County, and we can’t wait to see him in action. Here’s to a future filled with clean sheets and defensive prowess!

Alex Bass Signs Three-Year Deal: A Major Coup for Meadow Lane
Brilliant news! Bass had an excellent season at Wimbledon. He’ll be a huge asset for us next season.

Stuart Maynard.
I find it encouraging to see thoughtful debates and open discussions here. I can understand why some supporters might want a change at this point, as it’s difficult to see how Stuart Maynard will turn things around, not that I’m against him. I’m just saying I can see their point of view. What I don’t understand is how some are unwilling to give him a chance and keep reminding people at every opportunity that they’re against Maynard and want a better option in charge. That seems wrong, as it’s like hoping for this to happen, and I can’t see how that would be helpful. Personally, I’m inclined to give him the rest of the season. If things are still looking grim then, it might be worth reconsidering, but with the defence strengthening and any budget being used to add quality and depth, he might learn from this. I don’t think the problem right now is just one thing, but a combination of factors.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Wombles (H)
Will the match be fast-paced? Many say that AFC Wimbledon likes to counter-attack and wouldn’t mind if we controlled the ball. This is quite different from Notts’ style. It might lead to a chaotic and fun game. Let’s increase our concentration, regain possession quickly, and create solid opportunities. Hopefully, Notts will emerge victorious.

Notts County's Stuart Maynard Previews Tough Encounter with Wimbledon
Maynard's focusing on both our defensive structure and our attacking opportunities shows he's leaving no stone unturned. Reflecting on past encounters, understanding Wimbledon's play, and emphasising our strengths suggests Maynard has a comprehensive plan. Encouraging the team to be proactive in seeking goal chances while also ensuring defensive solidity resonates well with the unpredictable nature of League Two football. This blend of caution and aggression could very well be the key to overcoming Wimbledon's formidable defense.

Notts County's Stuart Maynard Remains Positive Despite Fixture Congestion
The late postponement against Bradford was a setback, but Maynard’s approach to keeping the team focused and making the most out of a challenging situation is commendable. His belief in utilising the whole squad and keeping spirits high, especially with senior players stepping up, speaks volumes of the positive culture being built at Notts County.

Handball rule
I don’t think the referee made the correct decision. I believe if David McGoldrick felt he handled it, we would have seen a reaction from him and the Wrexham players.

Alassana Jatta's visa application approved.
Notts has high hopes that Jatta can make a difference. It might not be immediate, but he’s here and could be someone who might be more useful next season. Now he might need to settle in and get used to things.

Spring signs
We’re going to get a lot of rain this year, with not much sun. I hope this is wrong but I don’t see the weather getting much better.

Loan Players Good Or Bad Idea?
The loan market should always focus on bringing in quality or something unique. I don’t think anyone could have predicted how successful some of the players we’ve had would become in their careers. We’re used to the ones who just disappear and their time ends up being forgotten, but sometimes you can use it as a way to test a player before buying. We had a defensive midfielder that was brought into the club from the non-league, I forget his name but he started off well.

Maynard in NLP
There’s a nice piece about Notts in the Football League paper. It’s clear that the board sees Stuart Maynard as a great fit, which is reflected in this article. It’s a good read nonetheless.

Match Discussion: Game 30 - The Bluebirds (H)
There's cautious excitement in the air with the new management shake-up. While I hope for a win against Barrow, realistically, full transformation won’t happen overnight. Maynard's approach is likely focused on stability and graft, which means we might not see the flamboyant offensive play we're used to, but perhaps a more disciplined team that can grind out necessary results. Concentration during dead ball situations has been our Achilles' heel for too long, so I expect that will be a marked improvement this match. Let's bring the noise to Meadow Lane and push the lads to a hopeful 3 points against a stubborn Barrow side.

Stuart Maynard Anticipates Notts County Debut After Unforeseen Setback
Absolutely, the extra preparation time is indeed a hidden gem. With a new coach like Stuart Maynard at the helm, this additional time can be invaluable. It allows for a more in-depth understanding and implementation of new tactics, which could very well give us the edge against Barrow. This could be the key to unlocking our full potential on the pitch. It’s an opportunity to refine our strategies, work on our strengths, and address any weaknesses. This is a chance for Notts County to rise to the occasion and show what we’re truly capable of. Onwards and upwards, Notts! Let’s seize this opportunity and make the most of it!

Notts County Celebrates as James Sanderson Signs Professional Contract
The journey of Sanderson from grassroots to becoming a professional is the perfect inspiration for our academy kids, demonstrating that hard work truly pays off. Moreover, the news of Sanderson extending his contract until 2026 is fantastic. Having seen him play against Shrewsbury, it's clear the lad has a promising future ahead!

A Stuart Maynard Notts Team? A Tactical Analysis.
In my opinion, Stuart Maynard’s tenure at Wealdstone could prove to be a significant asset in bolstering Notts’ defence. His tactical acumen suggests that he possesses the ability to maximise the potential of his players. It’s clear that his experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of the game, which could be instrumental in strengthening the team’s defensive strategies. His knack for identifying the strengths of his players and deploying them effectively is a testament to his managerial prowess. This could be a game-changer for Notts, as a robust defence is often the backbone of a successful team. It will be interesting to see how his strategies unfold in the upcoming matches. His approach could potentially transform Notts into a formidable team, making them a tough opponent to beat. This is indeed an exciting prospect for all Notts supporters.

Kyle Cameron Leads Notts County with Unwavering Focus Amid Managerial Change
Loyalty and focus are what we need during these times. If the team echoes Cameron’s mindset, we're in for a strong finish. The Stockport game will be telling!

One for the older supporters
The photograph brings a wave of emotion, reminding us of the golden era of Notts County. The commitment and passion that these players embodied were truly unparalleled, setting a high benchmark that can inspire current and future players alike. Legends like these not only etched their names into the annals of the club's history but also in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to watch them play. The game and its rules may have evolved over time, but their legacy remains evergreen, thanks to visuals like these that allow us to relive the glory days.

Charlie McParlands thoughts on Luke Williams
McParland’s assessment is spot on. Williams indeed shows great potential, but Burchnall’s performance was disappointing. If we aspire to reach the Championship, we need to refine our game on all fronts. This includes not just individual performances, but also our overall team strategy and recruitment planning. Here’s hoping for a more polished and well-rounded performance in the future.

Match Discussion: Game 19 - The Wombles (A)
As a long-time supporter of Notts, I’ve seen us go through highs and lows, gaining invaluable experience along the way. Facing Wimbledon now, we had hoped to leverage that experience. Their recent performance suggested a potential vulnerability, and we aimed to capitalise on that. However, maintaining the integrity of the game and avoiding disorderly play was paramount. I had high hopes that our midfield could be the game-changer, given their proven ability to dominate in previous matches. Unfortunately, we were unable to bring that control to bear this time. Despite the defeat, we remain hopeful for future games.

Goals : Notts v Bradford City
Frankly, I wasn't also overly impressed with Will Randall's performance. However, we must keep in mind, that one game doesn't define a player's aptitude. Let's hope he takes this as a learning opportunity and improves in the future games. Also, it's crucial to note the brilliance of some of the goals scored by Notts. Each goal was well-earned and well-placed, a sure sign of a team with a good understanding of the field and each other's playing styles. The way Notts analysed and took advantage of Bradford's weaknesses was very impressive.
