Great achievement for both players. They had a strong partnership while David McGoldrick was here. Both thrived on the understanding they shared, and McGoldrick’s experience really brought out the best in Alassana Jatta.

Paul Hart and Mick Halsall couldn’t get the academy to produce players, so we can only hope. Hart wasn’t back long enough to make a real impact, but Halsall was a great youth coach. I hope Nimesh Patel can help.

Without a new striker coming in, I’m unsure where we’d get the goals that Alassana Jatta provides. His ability to hold up play and make a nuisance of himself is something we’d miss. A good offer might tempt the club, but it should lead to reinvestment. I hope we secure a few more players who can help with scoring goals.

If we ranked the signings, this one might not be the most popular, but let’s not write him off before he’s even played. Hopefully, he’ll make a big impact when it counts. We don’t know the club’s plans for him yet, but I’m happy to welcome him to the team.

We’ve needed someone with proper leadership for ages, especially since losing a few experienced heads in recent seasons. Ollie Norburn feels like the right kind of character, someone who sets standards and keeps the tempo up. His time at Shrewsbury and Blackpool shows he’s more than capable, and even with his injury record, you can tell managers trust him by how often he’s been made captain. A year with the option of another is clever too, gives both parties something to work towards. I’m excited to see how he gels with our current squad, especially with the younger lads who could really learn from him.

It’s fine as it is, but with shared facilities, you have to trust the owner and hope the agreement works in your favour. We don’t need to own training facilities right now, but we should keep an eye on how much money is being put into the pitches. If too much is spent, it could end up being a waste. It’s just something to think about.

Maynard is spot on about our performances this season. Even in the games we’ve lost or drawn, we’ve been the better side in most of them. The belief in the squad is clear, and having players return from injuries has made a huge difference. It’s just frustrating that as soon as we get some players back, others pick up knocks. Fingers crossed for Jones and McGoldrick because we’ll need them.

Well, you outlined much of what could be believable, and I see no reason to question anything you shared. The additional signing seems to be right, despite Notts being linked to loans and people on Twitter who are usually right saying they were having a medical, etc.

Will Jarvis could be the best signing once he’s match fit. Excited to see what he brings! There’s a lot of excitement about Mai Traore, which is natural, but all the additional signings seem spot on to me. We went from a very defensive bench, with concerning injuries, and we managed to get through them. Unlike the previous season when losing Matt Palmer derailed the season and no plans resolved it. It does seem the club is learning.

Well done to David McGoldrick, he's one of our own! No player wears the shirt with as much pride as Didzy. Well deserved Man of the Match.

This is an exceptional piece on Curtis Edwards' career. It provides great insight into the backstory and path he took to establish himself as a professional footballer. We have a very reliable player who plays with passion and a remarkable presence, which is encouraging to others. He is a no-nonsense player who just wishes to get stuck in and fits our system very well.

Any win on the road is a good outcome for me. Notts played exceptionally well in the first half. There were some brilliant pieces of play, and it's unlucky that some of those chances didn't pay off. The through ball to David McGoldrick for his piece of magic was perfect. Not only was it a display of his clinical nature, but the ball was played to perfection. Notts are growing with confidence, even when the performances, like the previous Tuesday, weren't the best. The squad is pulling together right now. Credit to Stuart Maynard for the current form. If he gets blamed when things go wrong, it's only fair he gets credit when they go right.

Mai Traore appears to be a shrewd acquisition for our squad. We've been lacking some extra pace and power up front, and from what I've observed, he's got both in spades. His stint in Norway demonstrates he can perform at a high level, and his breakout season in Sweden was exceptional. If he can recapture that sort of form, he could truly be a game-changer for us. Reading Maynard’s comments about the FA Cup reminded me why this competition is so special. It’s not just about the big wins, it’s about the dreams of going up against the best and showing what we’re capable of. Peterborough United will be a difficult test, their pace and counter-attacking ability could hurt us if we’re not careful. However, I believe in the progress we’ve made since the summer.

Jatta’s development has been great to see this season. He’s becoming a player we can really rely on, even if his name isn’t always on the scoresheet. What I admire most is how he’s willing to put the team first. Whether it’s making a decoy run or helping out defensively, he’s always switched on and giving his all.

As long as we put in the effort or secure a win, that's all that matters in the end. Newport County are a team we should be able to beat, despite their tendency to make matches challenging. Notts needs to focus on playing the ball forward and testing their defence and goalkeeper. I agree, a good result would give us a boost going into this crucial and tough stage of the season. It’s important to build momentum with positive outcomes, especially at this point in the campaign.

Imagine if it does bring a new wave of fans who perhaps fall in love with the actual sport! However, those already invested in the culture may feel let down, questioning why a genuine fan or player wasn't the club's first pick.
