The site could have easily been converted to a Tram station using all the Tunnels to easily get access Nottingham & adjoining Towns. Just look at the money that could have been saved instead of the waste that resulted.

You could be right on the formation @The Anti-Clough & it could give some headaches for Martin on his selection, but I think that could be a good thing. Martin could play Dennis as an inside forward or he could go to two forward either from the start or later during the match if circumstances demand it. It does look like Martin will have several options on Saturday.

It's a good opportunity for Notts to keep the unbeaten run going & a win would be Notts gaining ten out of twelve points possible. Fleetwood will be another tough game. Every game in League 2 has it's challenges & Fleetwood will make it as hard as they can for Notts on Saturday. I would like to see Martin play Jatta & Dennis together once more as a twin striking partnership. I think Lucas Ness should replace Aljofree at the centre of the Notts defence, & give loanee Hall a start as an attacking midfielder behind the front two. I think it is a positive development for Notts to vary their tactics during a match, by not just playing out from the back but going long on several occasions during recent matches. I'm hopeful that Notts will keep their unbeaten run going with a dominating win, where they can play well for long periods, especially in the first 20 minutes of the match, which is so important.

As I have said before, there are other ways of raising revenue so that the club can compete with other clubs at this level. The brothers can still remain as majority shareholders, but allow further investment from a third party. This could either be by allocating new shares or by a loan to the club.

Just because Jatta has had is contract extended by another 12 months doesn't mean that the Club won't sell the player at the next available transfer window if another club makes an offer the brothers can't refuse. All this extension is basically doing is keeping Jatta's value a little higher than it might have been. I still think that Jatta will be very marketable if he starts scoring again, & strikes up a good partnership with Dennis. I think we've already picked up that the money earned from the sale of players goes into the running costs of the club, such as wages & running costs, & we may even see other players sold if the price is right.

On the serious side if the match were to be called off it would be a big embarrassment. Reports are that the construction of the pitch cost up to seven figures, which is a massive amount of money for a tier four club. Now there will be more expense to fork out on repairs, & the possible loss of match revenue if the match were to be postponed. This development could also have had an effect on the possible recruitment of players during the last few weeks of the transfer window too, considering the financial budget is so tight at the moment.

While a substantial amount of dead grass has had to be removed from the playing surface, we're confident it will be playable this weekend - however we are supportive of the EFL's wishes for a qualified official to carry out their own precautionary inspection (11am), along with a representative from the Sports Turf Research Institute, in good time ahead of the game. An update will follow thereafter. The disease in question is a soil-based pathogen, which spreads rapidly and causes significant damage to perennial ryegrass. This was identified earlier this week by our ground staff and subsequently verified by independent plant pathologists. Although robust preventative measures are embedded in our turf management programme, the disease - which originates in continental Europe and has recently been observed at several other clubs - has taken hold due to this summer’s exceptionally warm and humid conditions. Since the diagnosis, our grounds team have worked tirelessly to contain the issue and implement a recovery strategy - and we would like to stress that this highly unfortunate development is no fault of any individual or the club. We expect the pitch to make a steady recovery over the coming weeks.
