Morning all. As @Fan of Big Tone is on his hols, I have started his chat thread in his absence. It looks a dreary & wet morning here. It did appear to be a little warmer last night but there was a lot of rain. Lots of rain is good for the garden. I'm pleased to say that many of our plants are still hanging on into the autumn & blooming. Our hanging baskets are still looking pretty good. The mild weather is definitely helping those plants to keep going a little longer.

Bad news about George Abbott. He faces a lengthy period on the sidelines due to injury.

The team played very well defensively, & they were backed up by an excellent performance from Roos. I've been critical of Roos too, but for me he deserves all the plaudits for his performance between the sticks today. I'm delighted to give my vote to Roos & I hope that his performance today will give him lots of confidence for the weeks and months ahead.

Enjoy the winner. Jaden has a goalscorers touch.

So their latest Manager has been sacked after eight games. How things have gone pear shaped for them. Why oh why does a club change a successful Head Coach & break up the makings of a successful team? It's definitely looks like a case of self harm. I'm so pleased that Notts have owners with sensible heads on their shoulders.

The kind of Notts win today that gives hope that Notts can go places this season.

Latest League 2 table. Notts are in a good position, just 2 points from the playoffs with a game in hand.

I'm so pleased for the team who had to defend for long periods. Roos having his best match of the season. Notts had to whether an aerial barrage but they kept a massive clean sheet, & the defensive three were outstanding once again. Another big positive was the way Hall took his late goal, & the fact Notts have won a match that they never dominated & could have easily lost with the amount of pressure they had to take. In my eyes, Notts have done to Barnet that some teams did to Notts last season, like Gillingham & Wimbledon at ML. Teams that can win in this way are the teams that will be challenging for the playoffs or even better at the end of the season.

Scenes

A smash & grab win for Notts at Barnet today. Notts had to defend for long periods of the game but stood firm & managed to steal the points with a late late winner. So I have chosen the first eleven and two substitutes for you to make your choice as Man of the Match. Those players are. Roos, Macari, McDonald, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Robertson, Jones, Hall, Iorpenda, Jatta, Ness, Dennis.

Full TimeA late goal by Hall wins the points for Notts.

GOOOOOAAAAAL HALL90+4 - GOAL! Kouhuar's shot is blocked - but it runs for Hall to prod the ball home!!! Barnet 0-1 Notts
