As @Fan of Big Tone is on holiday, here is this week's general chat thread. It's been a lovely day here today with lots of warm sunshine. Visited the supermarket this morning to buy some tubs for the rest of the summer bedding flowers we have been planting. Managed to get them all planted and watered this afternoon. All seem to be doing well. I've also been pleased with the two new Notts signings today. Hope we get further good news as the week goes on.

PON members are a little divided on this guy, but if we think about it, he's come on a free, he's been given a one year contract, he looks promising with his Kidderminster record, but if he's tried out but doesn't look the part he will be loaned out somewhere, so if it doesn't work out it is still a win win for Notts. Some supporters may not see it that way, but the brothers have not given out long contracts to these two latest arrivals, The brothers have shown that they are very frugal with their spending unless they have to spend to get their man.

I've never used WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram or similar Apps like Signal. I will look at & study the App & see what it entails. It could be useful if PON goes down in an emergency..

Another good acquisition for Notts. He had a great season for Kidderminster just gone with plenty of goals and assists. He can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger. I suspect Notts will want to play him in the number ten position where they hope he can open up defenses & score a few goals too from midfield. It is a step up for him to a higher league with Notts & the owners will be hoping he can make a successful transition. I think it is very positive that Notts are trying to improve the areas within the team where they were lacking last season. I think that the two signings today go a long way in putting that right.

@menzinho This is another signing following the Notts recent mantra. A player arriving on the cheap & the Owners hoping they become a success. There is every chance he could become a success with his previous stats at Kidderminster. I'm beginning to think we are not getting a Head Coach. It will be more like a First Team Coach under the Head of Football.

He looks to be another good signing for Notts. Notts needed a player in the attacking midfield position who can create and score goals, & Maziar looks like he can fit the bill. I do hope that we have found a player that can fit into the number ten role & will be able to emulated what he did at Kidderminster. Create and score goals. We've seen two very encouraging acquisitions today. The club have clearly identified in what positions they are lacking and are trying to put that right

I'm very pleased with this signing. He's just the type of player that Notts have been missing. He will be a big asset to the Notts side. He is an aggressive player that will help Notts compete with other physical sides in the Division. And importantly, he's a leader too. There are concerns about his fitness, however I trust that Notts have done their due diligence on this player & I'm sure he will become a very important player for Notts off the field as well as on it.

@Chris I know there will be concerns about Ollie's fitness, but I am sure that Notts have done all the due diligence they can on this player & have been assured that he will be ok.

I'm very exciting about this signing by Notts. Looks like we have signed a leader on the field that has captained teams that he has played for. He's an aggressive deep lying central midfielder that is very good under pressure. Someone that we needed for some time. He's technically skilled with strong range of passing ability. He's good defensively & has the ability to initiate attacks. He' has good ball control & the ability to retain possession & he has a stella work rate too. If he stays fit I think he will be a great asset to the club off the field as well as on. I don't think opposing teams will be able to bully this guy easily.
