I would love to see Archie Mair back at Notts. Maybe he wants to have regular games through. It's still worth it for Notts to make an approach. For me, every player in the squad should have to fight for their place. It fosters healthy competition & improvement.

55 years ago today, one of the best, if not the best international team, won the 1970 World Cup Final. That Brazil team was simply sensational & they played a very good Italy team off the field. As a thirteen year old I watched most of the matches on the BBC & ITV. The pictures were grainy but we were all used to that.

The two matches that I will be following will be Spain v England & Denmark v France. England have flattered to deceive during this tournament but still find themselves in the quarters where anything can happen. Denmark are the current interest to Notts fans as their manager is reputed to be in the running for the Notts Head Coach job.
