  1. Yorkshire are 510 all out. Lead by 23 Lunch is taken. Looks like this match is meandering to a draw.
  2. He was down on the website as Assistant Head Coach, & this is a big surprise. When new coaches are bought in it can be difficult for those already there. Otherwise it's better not to speculate. Will be interesting if Notts replace him. He's gone & we move on. Good luck to him for the future.
  3. Good info for anyone who wishes to go. Unfortunately I won't be going, but I will be following the matches. Hope there is a ticker or updates from the Notts website.
  4. Every candidate that may have showed interest in the job would have been FULLY briefed about what the job entailed & what would have been expected. It is very doubtful that a shortlisted applicant would have turned down the job after a final interview. If they weren't interested an applicant would never have got to the final interview. It's obvious that the best person who got to final interview got the job.
  5. Totally agree @Scotty Excellent points👍
  6. I'm sure that in the initial approach any potential applicants would have been FULLY briefed about what the job entailed within the Notts organisation & what was expected from them. A shortlist would consist of applicants that fully understood what the remit of the job was & were ok with it I can't imagine that an applicant would have been offered the job & then turned it down because he wasn't happy with the remit of the job. That's why, I believe the owners when they say that the best applicant that would work well within the organisation got the job.
  7. The EFL Trophy draw has put Notts in the Northern Group D with Lincoln & Barnsley. We will learn which PL under 21 side will join them in tomorrow's draw.
  8. The fifth day between Notts & Yorkshire is about to begin with Yorkshire resuming on 414 for 6.
  9. @Fan of Big Tone I think he's being honest about his first choice. I've conducted many interviews myself. You advertise the position, receive applications, choose the short list, then conduct the interviews. The best person that fits the position in you organisation is chosen then offered the job.
  10. It's Matchday. England v Netherlands 5pm
  11. Chris was quite clear that Martin was the first choice, so I think we have to go with that. During the interview process the remit of the Head Coach position would have been explained & Martin must have been happy with what was expected of him if he was given the job.

  19. Again. A very informative interview where Roberto has explained his job role & the role of the Head Coach. He also talked about the new Technical Board & how it will work. Notts are taking the collaborative route where the Notts football management & coaching team are going to work together as a team, with their different responsibilities to get the most out of the Notts first team squad. It appears Roberto will also act as a bridge between the coaching staff, Head Coach & the owners, so I don't think the owners will be attending many Technical Board meetings. So the days of a Football Manager coming in and making all the decisions has gone. There will be a different way of working at Notts & it will be fascinating to see how it all works out. I do hope that this new collaborative approach will be successful.
  20. It's time for tea. Yorkshire are 320 for 5
  21. I'm pleased that the owners decided to speak to the local press about the appointment of Martin Paterson & organisational changes they have made within the Club. The questions were tough & Chris answered then all very well in my opinion. It appears that Martin Paterson was their first choice & Chris also confirmed that João Alves will continue as a member of the coaching staff. Chris was questioned about the new Technical Board & he is confident that it will succeed in improving performance. He had questions about Stuart Maynard, but I think it's time to look forward rather than back. The owners are clearly focused in getting this club promoted. I am satisfied that the owners have chosen a good coaching team to take this club forward next season, & the new Technical Board will assist that team every step of the way.
