  1. Wordle 1,470 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜⬜🟩⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  2. Good evening all. It's been a cloudy day here but very humid and warm. It's very warm in the house & looks like being another uncomfortable night. We both spent some time in the garden. We've got out our wooden table and chairs to give them a good clean. We do have some plastic chairs that we use most of the time. Mrs has also started her spring cleans, ( a little late) so I've been giving her a hand. The time has gone by very quickly today mind. So the longest day has past us & the days will start to get shorter, but up to now it's been a very good spring & early summer. Even though rain has been forecast during the last few weeks we haven't had a lot here. We've still had to supplement the watering of our plants. We plan to do that tomorrow
  3. Another tournament win for British duo Cash and Glasspool 🇬🇧
  4. @Ash Kenya is the UK's largest supplier of tea, however India & Sri Lanka are up their too as big suppliers.
  5. This is a great move for Sam. Southend just missed out on promotion from the National League having lost to Oldham in the playoff final. Southend will be hoping to go one better this season & go for automatic promotion, but they will be a good bet for a playoff place once again. I wish Sam Austin lots of luck with his new club, & I will be keeping an eye on Southend & Sam's progress.
  6. Although I would love to have a cup run. I do think that Notts's priority this season should be League 2. Notts suffered from so many injuries last season & I think it would be better to give the squad & some academy players a run out against Wigan rather than the first 11. Of course have some of the first 11 on the bench but only if needed. Normally I would want to pick our strongest side, but for Carabao & EFL trophy just the second string will do for me.

  8. I'd rather Notts either get a transfer in by a fee, a player that is out of contract on a free, or a loan player. Notts should have the data on all these players they are interested in. Having players on trial means to me that Notts are not quite sure about them. And again, surely Notts would have seen plenty of video of these trialists as well as the data to make an informed decision about a player rather than trial them I'd rather Notts use that time to bring in players that will strengthen the squad, not ones that they are unsure about.
  9. It would be a good opportunity for those players if a transfer fee can be agreed with Fleetwood. Rotherham will be looking to do much better than their middle of the table finish last season.
  10. The EFL Trophy is basically used by PL clubs just to give their young & fringe players match practice against the senior players of lower league clubs which they wouldn't normally get playing against teams in PL 2. Personally, I would rather have this tournament scrapped, because I think it has been devalued by allowing in PL B teams, instead the authorities should bring back replays in the FA Cup from the first round onwards again.
  11. It's a good move for Sam & I wish him well at Shrewsbury. It's important in League 2 to have a good defensive pairing with Will Boyle beside him. I was disappointed for Robbie Cundy because I don't think that he got the opportunity to really show what he could do at Notts. I think it was another case of the Head Coach not rating him & giving him a fair opportunity. I think with the new organisational changes at Notts, re, the new Technical Board, every single player in the squad will get a fair opportunity to impress.
  12. I can understand why players nearing the end of their careers from around the the World would want to play in the MLS. The money is big, & the number of games would be less than, say in the UK or Europe. I think Ruben probably had a big wish to play in Brazil if he were deemed good enough. Ruben is a flair player, so I think he will easily fit into the Brazilian way of playing. The fact that Ruben basically learned a lot of his trade at Notts then to Oxford, but then finishing up in Brazil, is a great story for Notts as well as Ruben. I think that he will do quite well there & I will certainly be keeping an eye on his Club & how they are doing next season along with Ruben.
  13. A big welcome from me @Ash welcome to our PON community.
  14. Good point @Fan of Big Tone as far as I remember the club promised the safe standing area would be ready at the top area of the Cop end. I'm surprised there hasn't been an update . For myself I wouldn't wish to stand to watch a football match again even though it wouldn't be a problem for me at the moment. Nowadays safe standing isn't any cheaper than sitting. I can imagine that fans in the safe standing area will sit down before the match & during half time as there are still seats in those standing places.
