  9. Hi all, it's been another lovely day today here in Mansfield. Looks like it's going to be a warm night. Spent some time in the garden today watering the newly planted plants, followed by the customary weeding. The new plants seem to be doing well. Plan to get up early and cut the grass tomorrow before it gets too hot.
  10. I remember him. He did well for us in his loan spell. He had pace and power & he gave a good impression. He joined the club on loan from Dec 2021 till the end of the season appearing 23 times for the Magpies and scoring one goal. He was initially on loan for just one month but because he impressed his loan period was extended to the end of that 21/22 season.
  11. @NiftyNick There's no info about anyone leaving. Dan Leivers is Academy Manager. Nimesh is Head of Coaching development within the Academy management team.
  12. This is an interesting appointment by Notts that will strengthen the Notts academy. I suppose that this appointment fits with the Notts intention to reorganise the Football management structure at the club. Here's a more detailed look at his career so far via Google. "Nimesh Patel is a football coach and educator". "He has extensive experience coaching at various levels, including the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA and Coventry City Football Club". "Head of Football and Futsal at the University of Leicester: Patel is responsible for coaching and managing both first teams and overseeing the entire program for men's football and futsal. FA Coach Developer: He is involved in developing coaches within the football system. Leicestershire & Rutland County FA: Patel has held several roles, including U18 County Squad Manager and Social Inclusion Officer. Coventry City Football Club: He has worked as an Academy Coach. Early Career: He began his coaching journey after college, pursuing qualifications and starting with the FA Level One at a young age. Focus on Youth Development: Patel's career reflects a strong focus on developing young players and fostering their growth in the sport".
  13. What a fantastic recovery from the the England teens, against the old enemy. It must have been an entertaining match to watch.
  14. The internet is awash with speculation about who will be the new Notts Head Coach. It could be that Notts have already chosen the person & are just waiting for the best time to reveal it to the football World. All I want now is for Notts to choose the right person for the job, a person who will take Notts to the next level. And who will be an improvement on our last Head Coach.
  15. I think that we have to give a lot of credit to the Notts recruiters & the system they use to bring in the suitable players that Notts require. The system isn't perfect but it has been very successful over the last few years with only a few exceptions. Ollie Norburn is the type of player with the skill, personality & leadership credentials that Notts have needed & it is great to have him onboard. I think that Ollie will be just as a important to Notts off the field as well as on it. He's been brought in for a specific reason to help this club gain promotion.
  16. I do like action movies & there are two films, one has just been released, "Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning" & soon to be released "Jurassic World Rebirth", the seventh film in the Jurassic Park franchise. Both would be great viewing at the Cinema.
  17. I haven't been to a cinema for several years when we visited the Showcase Cinema off Clifton Boulevard. I'm not even sure how much it would cost nowadays, prices are going up so fast. There's a good collection of films on Amazon Prime, ITV X & U Tube. I did subscribe to Paramount for a while. There are lots of alternative ways to watch films on the TV, but I don't think a TV can replicate the Cinema screen.
