  1. The poll is now closed. Thanks to all who voted. Much appreciated. I am pleased to announce that the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match against Salford is David McGoldrick.
  2. Chance to get a win on Sunday. Lincoln have really struggled this season with just one draw from all those games played. But Notts need to treat Lincoln with respect and they need to play at their best otherwise Lincoln could cause a surprise.
  3. Salford had a plan and it worked at their place as well as our place. They totally outplayed us so I would give them the credit for doing that.
  4. Credit to Salford. They totally outplayed us and stopped us from playing.
  5. End of the days play. Essex are 301 for 5, trail Notts by 46.
  6. Look what has happened in the league today. Only one team in the top 7 won. Walsall have only won two of their last 17 matches. Bradford conceded five today. Notts are not the only side having problems. There isn't much between the top 11 clubs. In fact the team in 11th place still has a chance to get into the playoffs if results go in their favour. I don't agree that Stuart Maynard isn't good enough for this league. He's had lots of poor luck with injuries, not to mention refereeing decisions. Also, Notts have had just four games all season where they have been outplayed. out of 42 league games. I could reel off several reasons why the team has improved from last season. Those on social media calling out Stuart now failed to call out Luke Williams on the poor form that Stuart inherited when Luke left for Swansea. One improvement is the goals against being 43 when it was double that amount at the end of last season. If Notts fail to get promoted this season, it won't be a disaster. The team has improved & I'm sure the Reedtz brothers will strengthen the squad for next season. Lessons will be learned by the Notts powers that be & the Club will be better for it, but the season is not over yet. The club still has their playoff future in their own hands.
  7. Not so good for Notts in the 3pm Kick offs. Walsall lost again. Grimsby drew. But Port Vale, Chesterfield, & Colchester all won. However, Notts still have their playoff future in their own hands. Up to date table after 3pm Kick offs.
  8. Good results for Notts. Bradford lost 5-4 to Swindon. Doncaster & Wimbledon drew 1-1. Top of League 2 after 12:30 games.
  9. Notts all out 347. Lunch is taken. Essex are 54 for 2 in reply to Notts 347 all out.
  10. So the team hasn't improved from last season? The stats say different.
  11. 43 Goals conceded so far this league season, compared to 86 conceded last season. Massive improvement.
  12. Cardiff 1 - 1 Stoke Sheffield Weds 2 - 0 Oxford Barnsley 1 - 2 Bolton Bristol Rovers 1 - 1 Exeter Accrington 1 - 0 Tranmere Morecambe 1 - 0 Carlisle Dagenham 0 - 1 Hartlepool Tamworth 2 - 0 Braintree 🤡
  13. Games left for our nearest rivals for a playoff spot. Colchester, Newport A, Crewe H, Donny A, Salford A, Barrow H Salford, Donny H, Accrington H, Morcambe A, Colchester H, Carlisle A. Crewe, Colchester A, MK Dons H, Tranmere A, Walsall H. Chesterfield, Fleetwood H, Wimbledon A, Bradford H, Morcambe H, Accrington A. Salford, Crewe & Colchester have to play each other. All four still have to play a side in the top 5.
  14. Your Weather 4cast for Saturday
  15. Lincoln City, formally known as Nettleham, have really struggled in this division since their promotion & have only one draw from all their matches so far. So this match is an opportunity for Notts women to get their tenth win of the season. Of course, no match is going to be easy, but the Notts women have demonstrated grit & determination in every game this term, & I believe they will be far too strong for Lincoln.
  16. My four Notts standouts who make my shortlist against Salford are:- Sam Slocombe. Will Jarvis. David McGoldrick Rod McDonald. But I do think that David McGoldrick stood out from the players I named on my shortlist, so my Man of the Match is David McGoldrick.
  17. Salford just played much better than we did. They had a plan and they executed it perfectly. Let's give them some credit for that. I would say Salford's performance was up there as the best performance we've seen by an opposing team at ML this season. They were the best team on the night & thoroughly deserved their victory. However, despite this bad defeat, Notts are still in a prime position to make the playoffs, & If Notts do qualify, then anything can happen.
  18. Just a reminder that this poll will close at 9 pm tonight. @Chris @TheSkipper @liampie @True Magpie @CliftonMagpie @Super_Danny_Allsopp @DangerousSausage @Joshua
  19. League 2 fixtures: Saturday 12th April 12:30 pm Kick off Doncaster 1-1 Wimbledon Swindon 5-4 Bradford 15:00 kick off Accrington 3-3 Tranmere Barrow 2-0 Walsall Chesterfield 3-0 Fleetwood Gillingham 1-0 MK Dons Harrogate 2-2 Grimsby Morecambe 0-2 Carlisle Newport 0-2 Colchester Port Vale 5-0 Bromley
  20. It's been a dissapointing result tonight when so much was expected, & hopes were high It's understandable that the Notts fans are disappointed, I am too, but if we step back & look at the league table. Notts are still in a better place than Colchester, Chesterfield, Salford & Crewe with points in the board. It still means Notts need just two wins to be massive favourites to secure a playoff place, then anything can happen.
