Good Morning. It's a lovely start to the day here once again. Dissapointing result yesterday, but we move on. Still lots to look forward to. Five games to go. Two wins & a draw should secure a playoff place, then anything can happen. We could see Doncaster, Notts, Walsall & Grimsby in the playoffs.

So against the bottom 12 teams in League 2 this season, Notts record is. 53 points from a possible 66. P. 22 W. 16 D. 5 L. 1

Notts are in sixth place six points ahead of the team in eighth place. Five more games to go & there are quite a few games where the top nine are going to play each other in this five game run in. (six for Donny) Points are going to be dropped by those leading teams. I think two wins & a draw should be enough to secure Notts a playoff place. We have witnessed a much better campaign than we saw last season. The Notts defence has been much better with sixteen clean sheets to show for it. Notts have been very unlucky with injuries to their best players over the season, but Stuart has done well to keep Notts in the mix despite the loss of those players. When we have lost matches all those matches except possibly two were very close & Notts were unlucky not to have seen a positive outcome in most of those defeats. Getting to the playoffs would be real progress for the club, & if Notts do qualify, then anything can happen.

I've done an up to date model after today's defeat to Colchester. I've put Notts down for two wins, two draws & one loss from their last five matches. Notts finish in 5th place & get a play off place.

As well as Notts losing. Three clubs around Notts in the league, Walsall, Crewe & Chesterfield lost too in the fifth of April.

I think on the balance of the play a draw would have been a fair result. My four player shortlist is Jacob Bedeau, Lewis Macari, Wil Jarvis & David McGoldrick. In a scrappy game the Notts defence looked comfortable for most of the match apart from a mistake that led to the goal. David McGoldrick was is usual influential self but couldn't get the breakthrough today. Will Jarvis looked dangerous when going forward. I thought he was Notts most dangerous player today so he gets my decision for Notts Man of the match.

Stumps at the end of the 2nd day. Notts are 297 for 5, Ben Slater made 92, Freddie McCann made 79 Durham lead by 81 runs.

A dissapointing result today for Notts & a blow to their automatic promotion hopes. It was a very scrappy affair & Colchester seemed to get their tactics spot on. Notts just didn't look cohesive today as they did against MK Dons. So who do you think was the Notts Man of the Match today? I have chosen the players who started the match from which to make your choice. Those players are:- Slocombe, Bedeau, Platt, Macari, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Hinchy, Jarvis, Whitaker, McGoldrick, Jatta.

It's a dissapointing result today but Notts are still in the mix & a couple of wins should see Notts win a playoff place, then anything can happen. Abbott was a big loss for us today. The injuries have been a big factor this season. We've had our best player out for most of the season, & our best central midfielder before he got injured. Stuart Maynard has worked miracles with the players that he's had available to stay in contention & no matter what happens , the team have improved from last season. The continued criticism of Maynard when Notts have a loss is totally unfair in my opinion. Notts are at home to Salford next Friday & Notts at their best should get three points from it. Up to date table. Notts in sixth place, six points ahead of Colchester who are in eighth place with 5 games left
