We have three Notts teams from the North of the County that have made the United Counties Division 1 playoffs. Step 10 of the football pyramid. They all have an opportunity to be promoted to the United Counties Premier Division, (step 9) Retford FC, Retford United & Clipstone FC

Worksop Town have secured 2nd place to Macclesfield in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, & have an excellent chance of being promoted to National League North via the playoffs. Northern Premier League, Premier Division, top five with one game to play. (Top five positions secured) Playoffs. 2nd plays fifth & third plays fourth. Winners from the semi finals play at the highest rated team's home ground in the final.

@Chris I searched for a connection but only found this. The search results indicate several connections between Draper & Long Eaton United. Firstly, Mark Draper, a former professional footballer, was born in Long Eaton. He played for various clubs, including Leicester City, Aston Villa, and Southampton. Secondly, there's a reference to a Jamie Draper playing for Coventry Sphinx and playing against Long Eaton United. Thirdly, Danny Draper scored a goal for Wellingborough Town in a match against Long Eaton United. Source Google. Looks like there are only loose connection, but someone else may know different.

Why not just get behind the Notts team till the end of the season? Notts still have 2 more games to go in the regular season, maybe three more if they make the playoffs. The playoffs are still in Notts hands. In my opinion, criticism should be left till the season is over.
