  1. Nice to see the other Magpies win a trophy for the first time in 70 years.
  2. The poll has now closed Thanks to all who voted today. It made for a competitive race between Abbott & Didzy for the top spot. I am pleased to announce that the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match is George Abbott, who again demonstrated, even in a Notts defeat, that he is going to be a future star.
  3. Your Monday 4 cast.
  4. Watched the Film, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956) this afternoon. It is still one of the best creepy films ever made. They should have made a sequel straight afterwards. The 1978 film of the same name had some sequel elements in it but it wasn't a full sequel.
  5. I agree @ExiledPie that Notts should offer him another year, however, Didzy offers the team so much more than being a player, his presence inspired and motivated the team to work harder when he's playing. I would offer him a similar wage to what he's already on. I think he's worth it.
  6. I agree with you @Blake about the negativity. Notts played well in the first half & could have been three goals ahead. We have nine games left & the Notts supporters need to get behind the team. No matter what anyone may say, there has been progress this season especially defensively.
  7. My top four shortlist for PON man of the match are :- Matty Platt. David McGoldrick. George Abbott. Will Jarvis. I'm going to go for George Abbott. He never seems to have a poor game for Notts.
  8. Five hours to go before this poll closes. @Chris @CliftonMagpie @liampie @TheSkipper @True Magpie
  9. Dissapointing result on Saturday, but we move on & Notts have to pull out all the stops to win their next home game against Crewe on next Saturday.
  10. It's a dissapointing defeat. Notts seem to be a first half team this season. Can be brilliant in the first half but fade in the second. Maynard is rigid in his substitutions too. He substitutes between the 60th & 70th minutes most of the time just about every match which I don't think has been very effective. And, The injuries are really starting to have their affect on the form now. Unless Didzy is on the bench, Notts just don't have the strength in the squad for somebody to come on & change a game match after match. I noticed that MK Dons got hammered again. Crowley made a big mistake leaving Notts & Notts should have kept hold of him. Also, I would have took Langstaff on loan till the end of the season, even if his wages were high. There were whispers that he was available for a loan out The January transfer window was very poor. I don't think the players we recruited have improved the team. Notts still have a chance for the automatics, but I think they need to concentrate on getting into the playoffs now. We have been very fortunate that teams around us have been losing, but that is not going to continue. If Notts don't t pick up their form, it's going to be a dissapointing end to a promising season.
  11. If there is any positive news for Notts today. Bradford and Grimsby lost. Crewe & Doncaster drew. Unfortunately, teo. of our close rivals won today. Wimbledon & Port Vale won & Colchester won which took them into a play off place.
  12. Another dissapointing home defeat for Notts this afternoon. I have included 12 Notts players for you to choose your PON Man of the Match. S. Slocombe J. Bedeau M. Platt L. Macari M. Palmer (c), N. Tsaroulla K. Gordon C. Grant G. Abbott D. McGoldrick A. Jatta W. Jarvis Please choose your player & let us know why you voted for him.
  13. Up to date table after the afternoon matches.
  14. Update. Chesterfield regain the lead. Another defeat at home.
  15. Update GOOOOOAAAAAL JARVIS
  16. Update. Goal for Chesterfield. Update.
  17. Update. Update Update Half time. Mark Stallard: "As 0-0's go, that's been absolutely breath-taking. Notts firmly the better team"
