The signing of Mai today is great news for the Club and supporters. I am sure Notts have been watching him for some time & they will have done all the checks to ensure he will fit into the Notts system well. I'm sure he's going to strengthen Notts's attacking options as they go into the second half of the season to push for promotion. Notts will be hoping that they can develop Mai just as they have done with Alassana, who's value has quadrupled in his time at Notts. We are experiencing exciting times at Notts under Stuart Maynard. Long may it continue.

Mai has to get a visa and entrance clearance, then he will have to train with the team. Not sure what his fitness is like, but I'm sure Notts will have specific expectations regarding fitness, so it could be a several weeks before we see him make his debut. I don't think Notts will want to rely solely on Didzy while Mai gets up to speed when Notts are pushing hard for promotion. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to sell Jatta today. More likely is that Mai may be a replacement for Jatta if he goes in the summer, but that is not by all means certain.

So Williamson has been sacked after only four months in charge. Interestingly, they have decided to part ways with him as the transfer window is closing. A new Head Coach will have to work with the players that Williamson brought in. It will be difficult for this new person in charge to turn things around with just 18 matches left & Carlisle 5 points from safety. In my opinion this is just another club in panic mode because they find themselves at the foot of division 2. I don't think it will have a happy ending.

A fantastic performance to hold Peterborough 0-0 at the half way stage. It has been a very good defensive performance because Peterborough as expected have dominated. It will be a big half for the Notts ladies. They will surely tire as the match goes on, but the performance so far shows how far the ladies have come.

Notts narrowly lost their match at home to Peterborough earlier in the season. It was a match of two halves. Notts taking a 3:0 lead by half time but conceding 4 goals in the second losing 3:4. The game today will be difficult. Peterborough are one of the top teams in the division, currently in 2nd place & pushing for promotion, having won 11 of their 15 games so far. Notts have improved so well this term & will be hopeful of putting in a good performance against their opponents today, who are very strong & skillful side. A draw today would be a fantastic result for the girls if they could achieve it. Just getting into a position to compete with these top teams this season has been a big step forward.
