  7. Sad news for those who would like to see the Welsh League grow. It would be good for Football to see a much stronger Welsh league.
  8. It's Matchday. CMON U PIES!!
  9. Looking at the stoke buying and selling totals. I think the Notts model of buying players cheaply, developing them, then selling them for a profit is a much better way of doing things.
  10. I think the difference between a club like Lincoln & Notts is that Notts have owners that will ensure that the club remains on a secure financial footing. If this means having to sell some of their best players to keep on an even keel, I am sure the Notts owners won't hesitate so long that it is at the right price.
  11. The way things are going at Morecambe,we might be going toward an eventual formation of another phoenix club. That is something that the supporters of Morecambe & the wider football World wouldn't want to happen. There just doesn't seem to be an end to Morecambe going from one crisis to another. I do hope that a solution can be found that will avoid the club going out of business.
  12. Just one goal in twenty seven matches for Macca demonstrates to me that the Millwall style of playing Football doesn't particularly suit him regrettably. Coupled with a loss of confidence I think the only solution would be a loan move. His wages may be a put off for the majority of League one & maybe all league 2 clubs with the exception of MK Dons. I'm surprised Wrexham don't seem to have shown any interest as far as we know. What we can say with a lot of certainty is that sadly, he won't be coming back to Notts.

  14. A very good article charting Curtis Edward's career up to him joining Notts County. In the time that he has been at Notts, it is plain to see why the Notts management were keen to sign him. Curtis was unfortunate to get injured because he was establishing himself as a valuable member of the Notts starting eleven. Now that he has returned from injury, Notts will be hoping that he will get back to his early season form, & help propel the team to a promotion place come the end of the season.
  15. Hull City 1-0 Stoke City Millwall 1 - 1 QPR Leyton Orient 2 - 1 Stockport Reading 2 - 1 Wimbledon 3 - 1 Bradford 🤡 Newport 1 - 1 Barrow Braintree 2 - 0 Hartlepool Wealdstone 0 -1 Solihull
  16. Jacob has been a revelation for Notts since he came into the side. Along with Matty Platt & Lewis Macari they struck up a fantastic partnership at the back. It was dissapointing that Lewis sustained his injury, however Notts have had able deputies in Lucas Ness & Rod McDonald who have come in & continued the excellence for Notts at the back. The difference between last season & this one has been plain to see. Eleven clean sheets have been a testament to the improvement defensively. Jacob has certainly played a big part in that improvement.
  17. It must have been incredibly frustrating for Curtis when he got injured. He was establishing his position in the first eleven with his high energy performances. It is great to have him back and competing for a place once again. Notts have clearly missed him in their midfield, although those players that came in while he was absent have aquited themselves so well. Curtis will have a big part to play as he gets back to speed after several months out of the side. Over the last few games, it has been great to see the strength of the players waiting to come on from the bench, & a strong squad is essential to continue to make a challenge at the top of league 2. Curtis seems to be really motivated to play his part & his work rate, positive attitude & his example to colleagues on the pitch will be absolutely massive.
  18. Gillingham had high hopes for this season but they have surprisingly struggled in the first half of their season losing 12 of their 26 games played so far. Gillingham do have the potential to beat any team in the league on their day, so Notts need to be at their very best & keep their concentration at the back at all times. Notts don't have a particularly successful record over recent years against Gillingham & Notts will be keen to change all that on Saturday. Key areas will be in all three areas of the pitch, defence, Midfield & attacking areas. Surprisingly, I think the Notts midfield & attackers have more room to work away rather than at home. I think Notts will get a positive result. I would be satisfied with a draw, but a win would be very welcome. I'm going for a 1-1 draw or a 1-2 win for Notts.
  19. FC Halifax Town is a phoenix professional association football club based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. They currently compete in the National League, the fifth level of English football league system, as of the 2024/25 season. Halifax Town A.F.C went into administration in the 2007/08 season with debts of over £814k. Phoenix Club FC Halifax were formed & were initially placed in the Northern Premier League Division One North, the eighth tier of English football ahead of the 2008/09 season. Under manager Neil Aspin, the club won three promotions, reaching the top division of non-League football by 2013. FC Halifax won the FA Trophy in 2015/16 but were relegated to the National League North in the same season before returning to the National League immediately thanks to a play-off win against Chorley. FC Halifax also won the FA Trophy in the 2022/23 season. They play at The Shay. FC Halifax are currently lying in 8th place, on 42 points, in the National League table, & are challenging for a play off place. (Source Wiki FC Halifax Town - Wikipedia EN.M.WIKIPEDIA.ORG

  21. Nice piece of skill and awareness. I wonder if his team mate behind called him?
