  2. Looks like George Abbott is well in the lead. Can he be beaten? Poll closes 30/01/25 at 21:00.

  4. Nice to see that Notts have moved on.
  5. League 2 Match 29/01/25 7:45pm kick off. Barrow 1-3 Doncaster Doncaster move 2 points above Notts with this win at struggling Barrow, but have now played a game more than Notts.
  6. I go by the adage, when Notts tweet it, I'll believe it.
  7. Do Notts have an emergency Striker to play upfront just incase Jatta & McGoldrick get injured? I'm not talking about a defender going up front if one of our strikers have to go off injured When on the training ground, do Notts actually have players practicing the attacking role in line with the Notts style of play? If I was a reporter I'd ask that very question. We've seen Robbie Cundy come on as a substitute & play upfront a couple of times but that appeared more ad hoc than anything. So who would be able to fill the roll of an emergency Striker? I'd possibly go for Ness, Tsaroulla or Grant. So who would you choose as your emergency Striker & should Notts plan for this on the training ground?
  8. I was very pleased when the news came through that George will be staying with Notts till the end of the season. George is pure quality at this level and he can look to an excellent future in the PL if he continues to develop which I'm sure he will. It took a moment of quality to win the match for Notts on Tuesday evening against Carlisle, & George provided it with a magnificent pinpoint cross onto Jatta's head, who did the rest. I'm sure George will continue to play a big part in Notts's promotion push.
  9. Form table for the last eight games.
  10. Your Wednesday Afternoon Weather
  11. The win & clean sheet against Carlisle makes 11 clean sheets for the season so far for Notts.
  12. Highlights of the match tonight. Notts County 1-0 Carlisle | Football News | Sky Sports WWW.SKYSPORTS.COM Alassana Jattas first-half header was enough to give League Two promotion...
  13. This wasn't the best performance by Notts but they got the job done. Notts have played brilliantly in games and have either lost or drawn those game. Let's look at the positives. Three points gained & another clean sheet making eleven clean sheets for the season. It was pure quality too that won the game for Notts with a magnificent cross from Abbott finding the head of Jatta, who absolutely buried it in the corner of the net. Notts are definitely missing the influence of Palmer & Ness at the back in my opinion. Jodi is not yet up to full speed, & I also think we are missing a playmaker/creator in midfield. That being said, there is still time to get three more players in that could make a difference. Notts just need to ensure they keep hold of Jatta too. Hoping for positive news on the transfer in front by the end of the week, however it's great to get the win and find ourselves in 2nd place in league 2. CMON U PIES.
  14. Not the best performance from Notts tonight. They never really got going. My pick of the players on the field tonight were, Alex Bass, Jack Hinchy, George Abbott & Alassana Jatta. I think it had to be a moment of pure quality that would make all the difference in a match like that tonight, & it came from a magnificent cross from Abbott & a great header from Jatta who found the corner of the Salford net. For this moment of quality, & his overall performance, my Man of the Match goes to George Abbott.
  15. The winning moment. One goal, a clean sheet, three points. Eleven clean sheets so far.
  16. A disjointed performance tonight against Carlisle, but a vital win non the less due to a towering header from Jatta in the first half. I have chosen the Notts starting 11 for you to choose your Pride of Nottingham's Man of the match from. Bass, McDonald, Bedeau, Platt, Hinchy, Tsaroulla, Jones, Grant, McGoldrick, Abbott, Jatta.
  17. Latest League Table. Notts in 2nd place on goal difference.
  18. Full Time A Notts win. Tonight was as incomplete performance as you've seen but they got over the line and that could be a valuable three points come the end of the season." - Mark Stallard
