  1. Looking at his career stats he seems to have spent lots of time on loan to other clubs. I wonder if Ipswich have bought him only to loan him out too? Good luck to him anyway.

  3. Sorry you couldn't see my post. Opened ok for me. I edited the post anyway just in case.
  4. Very sad news. There are too many accidents such as this on the hard shoulders of motorways. The report says life changing injuries. I do hope that this isn't the case & Jordan will make a full recovery.
  5. The Poll has now closed. Thanks to all who voted. I am pleased to announce that David McGoldrick has been voted as the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match for is outstanding performance against Gillingham. Well done David.
  6. This is a superb article. I think that Notts have one of the best recruitment systems in the Country. The vast majority of the time they get that recruitment exactly right. We've seen some excellent signings that have really transformed Notts's fortunes. The last four signings during this January window looks as though they could be exactly what Notts needed to cement their chances of promotion this season.
  7. Let's hear from the boss.
  8. I'm pleased that Aidan has found another club so quickly. Yeovil Town should be a good move for him. Will keep an eye on his progress.
  9. The Notts team are working so well together at the moment. Their run of form over the last 9 matches proves it. Notts have match winners in their side that can produce a moment of magic at any time, but Notts also has a great defence & midfield that can defend when needed. David McGoldrick is just playing out of his skin at the moment & he is defying is age with the energy he has shown in every game. His goal was pure Premier League. Stuart Maynard can be rightly proud of his team for their current form, but he should also congratulate himself for his part in building & nurturing his players into a very good well drilled side that has a good chance of securing promotion at season's end.

  11. Alex Bass has to be on the list. He is one part of the reason for the vast improvement in our defence. Matty Platt would be on my list of five. He has been Mr Consistent in the Notts defence this season. George Abbott would be on the list too, even though he's a loanee. He is pure class with lots of talent. Jodi Jones has to be on the list because lots of things that are good come through him on either flanks & through the middle. My last choice would be a choice between Didzy & Jatta. I believe they are very close & both deserve to be on my list, but I choose David McGoldrick because his work rate is phenomenal, he is pure class upfront & he is an inspiration to his fellow team members. I could easily have chosen another 5 players. Jacob Bedeau, Matt Palmer, Alassana Jatta, Sam Austin & Lewis Macari, who have all had tremendous seasons.
  12. The signing of Mai today is great news for the Club and supporters. I am sure Notts have been watching him for some time & they will have done all the checks to ensure he will fit into the Notts system well. I'm sure he's going to strengthen Notts's attacking options as they go into the second half of the season to push for promotion. Notts will be hoping that they can develop Mai just as they have done with Alassana, who's value has quadrupled in his time at Notts. We are experiencing exciting times at Notts under Stuart Maynard. Long may it continue.
  13. Mai has to get a visa and entrance clearance, then he will have to train with the team. Not sure what his fitness is like, but I'm sure Notts will have specific expectations regarding fitness, so it could be a several weeks before we see him make his debut. I don't think Notts will want to rely solely on Didzy while Mai gets up to speed when Notts are pushing hard for promotion. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to sell Jatta today. More likely is that Mai may be a replacement for Jatta if he goes in the summer, but that is not by all means certain.
  14. So Williamson has been sacked after only four months in charge. Interestingly, they have decided to part ways with him as the transfer window is closing. A new Head Coach will have to work with the players that Williamson brought in. It will be difficult for this new person in charge to turn things around with just 18 matches left & Carlisle 5 points from safety. In my opinion this is just another club in panic mode because they find themselves at the foot of division 2. I don't think it will have a happy ending.
  15. Millwall have signed another forward, does this mean Macca will be out on loan today?
  16. I bet he wished he'd never left MK Dons. He won just 5 of his 25 games in charge of Carlisle. Mike Williamson: Carlisle United sack boss after four months in charge - BBC Sport WWW.BBC.CO.UK The Football League's bottom side Carlisle United sack boss Mike...
