  1. Tonight's team. Not far off with my team selection
  2. Bit of a publicity stunt if you ask me. Wouldn't it compromise health and safety on the football field?
  3. Do PON members like it when match times are changed for the TV Cameras?

  5. Good evening. It's been an overcast day here & it was a little cold this morning. Bought a new Xmas tree this morning. We do have a big tree we've had for over ten years that's seven foot tall & it takes lots of baubles & lights to fill it. We are both not in the best of health, so we thought it better to get a smaller tree, that also has lights on it, & we won't need to use all the baubles this year. We always dress the tree around thanksgiving. That's a special day in the US at the end of November, so our Xmas tree is usually up around 6 weeks or so. Checked it out when I got home and it looks good & the lights work. During early afternoon, went in the garden and removed all the dead & dying flowers & trimmed down our apple trees somewhat. So all in all two good jobs completed today.
  6. I think that the first experience of a great comeback for me was when Everton played Sheffield Wednesday at the old Wembley in 1966. Sheffield Wednesday took a 2:0 lead and hour into the game, but Everton came back and won 3:2 in normal time.
  7. I think that Notts need to play their squad players tonight, & some Academy players. My team would be Slocombe. Ness, McDonald, Cundy Martin, Hinchy, Abbott Tsaroulla Reynolds, Cisse, Brown. Substitutes, Bass, Sanderson, Crowley, Robertson, McGoldrick, Muir, Bedeau More experience on the bench if needed. Didzy may need a few minutes as well as Robertson and Crowley.
  8. You don't necessarily have to have the biggest playing budgets to build a team that can challenge for promotion. A good coach that can recruit the right players then coach them to play as a team is just as valuable as buying the best players who might not fit into the Club's playing system.

  10. @Wheelbarrow repair man How could that appointment possibly be better than the manager they have dismissed ? The trouble nowadays is that owners go for high profile (in their opinion) managers, & most of these appointments don't succeed.
  11. I don't think you can go wrong donating to the Salvation Army. They do lots of fine work..
  12. Congratulations @Wheelbarrow repair man for becoming a Grand Master on the Pride of Nottingham Community.
  13. @Wheelbarrow repair man the chosen one might not be the chosen one or the favourite one with owners anymore. Jose has always been outspoken at times. Not sure if owners will want to take a chance on him, but as we all Know Cloughie was outspoken at times too & it didn't stop him getting a job. Jose is undoubtedly a very good Manager so I'm sure he will still be in demand if he wants to come back to England.
  14. I agree @ScottyP Platt has really made an impact since the beginning of the season along with his defensive colleagues including goalkeeper Bass. I think the Notts defence has made a big difference this season.
  15. I was wrong with what I said in hindsight. Luke was a good Manager but he couldn't solve our defensive frailties. It was down to his successor to eventually solve the problems in defence.
  16. More from BBC Sport.
