  1. Somehow, I don't think that Mark Robins will be out of a job for very long I'm sure he will get lots of job offers that he will be able to pick from. What Coventry have lost will be another Club's big gain.
  2. There is absolutely no loyalty in football nowadays. Mark took Coventry from league 2 to the championship & just missed out on getting promoted to the Premier League. An FA Cup Semi Final too where Coventry were robbed of a Final place. Coventry are currently in 17th place, just 7 points from a playoff place. I don't think that this is a wise decision by Coventry. Thoughts?
  3. Good morning. Another overcast day, & very dull, but it's a little milder this morning. I never thought I'd ever do it, but for the last ten weeks haven't had the TV on at all. And probably 10 weeks before that just watched Dvds & old VHS tapes on the TV or cast an Amazon film from my phone to the TV So over 5 months without watching any live TV especially the news, which always seems to be so depressing. To be honest I've been wondering about getting rid of the TV licence because we just don't watch live TV anymore. I'd never ever thought I wouldn't miss TV but I just don't. I get all of my news from the phone nowadays. We are truly in the age of the smartphone & tablet.
  4. I use the dashboard for the vast majority of the time. I also use the unread area too. I check out & read posts from the past that are relevant to today. If a post is interesting & well written, even if I don't agree with parts of it, I will still like it. If I particularly like a post I will love it. I try to contribute to the site by reading as much as I can especially from members who may not get the everyday response as those who are on here every day. The site has a good system as far as I'm concerned that rewards members that interact with others. The more that one interacts, the more they are rewarded. Ie, reputation points, & achievement points. The site is all about encouraging interaction & that's a good thing because more interaction will help the site grow even more. My advice to @Wheelbarrow repair man & newbies is to read the posts from different members, because there are lots of good posts on PON & respond with a like or a reply. It's not just about the new posts and the first couple of pages of the dashboard. It's about lots of hidden gems that are just waiting to be discovered again. Check out some of the back articles posted by PON, & the blogs. Some very interesting stuff there too.
  5. Your BBC Weather Forecast for Thursday
  6. Just one goal for Macaulay in 12 matches since his move to Millwall. Should Notts make an audacious bid to get him back on loan till the end of the season in January?
  7. Your Thursday Morning Weather
  8. Interesting question. I myself have used the shortened name when posting about Notts myself. In fact I use the abbreviated name most of the time I suppose it's ok to use the shortened name but bear in mind that the full name is Notts County. At matches, I've heard supporters shout CMON Notts, I've done it myself too. So I personally don't have a problem with reports refering to Notts County as Notts, so long as it's made clear the article is about Notts County. I've read reports where they refer to Notts as just County. That's the BBC too.
  9. Just looking at the transfers in only two players have arrived since Klopp left, so the Liverpool squad is still extensively Klopp's. Seems a good move by the new manager not to change too much. Let's see if he can continue the Klopp success. Klopp won the PL title once & the Champions league, so will Slot be just as successful? That remains to be seen. Bob Paisley won the league championship six times & European Cup three times, & fourteen major trophies overall over a nine year tenure.
  10. More stats for Cal.
  11. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. @Jonathan Raimondi
  12. @Wheelbarrow repair man It would be also a great finish for Didzy if he could help get Notts promoted, but even if he doesn't, he's been a credit to this Club, for his leadership, his example to his colleagues & his performance on & off the pitch.
  13. Cal has been named National League North Player of the Month. Could Notts make a cheeky bid for him in January as a Striker/ Attacking Midfielder? Could be a smart move.
  14. I echo the need to get things checked out. I had my prostate checked out after ongoing issues & it came through clear. Best to get things checked out with your GP regularly if there are other issues too.
  15. The game against Donny is definitely going to be Notts's biggest challenge of the season so far. However, I do have much more confidence in Notts to get a result in these type of matches nowadays. Much will depend on whether some of the injured players will become available again, players like Didzy, Dan & Scott Robertson. Even if they are not in the team, I'm sure Notts will still give a good account of themselves. Until we know a little more about the fitness of those players, I will hold back from naming my team for the match.
  16. A view of the Earth & the moon from the European Space Agency's Hera craft, en route to an asteroid. Spacecraft watches lonely Earth and moon fade into the distance | Mashable MASHABLE.COM Destination: An asteroid.
  17. @Wheelbarrow repair man It will be a challenge for Pep, it's very unusual for City to lose a match, so just one loss has got the media in a frenzy. I think the choice of my title was more a kin to being a little facetious regarding the situation. If Pep can't get City out of this "mini crisis" (three defeats on the bounce) questions will start to be asked by the media on whether Pep is up for a fight or not. The Media are good at making a drama look like a crisis. It's the click & bait age for all said & done.
  18. League action resumes for Notts Women on Sunday, 10th Nov, at 2pm when Notts play Lincoln City Women at Coronation Park. Lincoln City Women, formally Nettleham FC were promoted last season, but have found it very hard to compete in this higher league, & are still looking for their first win, having lost all their previous nine league matches. Notts will be looking to get back to winning ways after a series of defeats against very good opposition. This match up will be a good opportunity for Notts to get their fifth win of the season, but of course, they must not underestimate Lincoln City, who will be looking to cause a shock.
  19. Well it's another dreary Wednesday Morning & Afternoon again. The UK has a high pressure system over it but no sun just full cloud, & there seems no end to it. Spain is being hit by some terrible weather too, with the City of Valencia baring the wrath of the weathers fury this time. I think that has much to do with the high pressure over the UK pushing weather systems to the south. On a personal level, not much planned today, had the food shopping delivered yesterday. Both of us feeling under the weather so it's a resting day today
