  1. Well @Wheelbarrow repair man we have a list of seven clubs so far, that have missed out on a lucrative replay, that could have earned them up to £100K in TV money. This list will only grow bigger as each round is played, & the money lost by an unfortunate club, will get much more as each round is completed. Bit of a scandal brewing me thinks.
  2. Is he there to show the new Head Coach the Man Utd ropes, as in you do it this way or it's the highway. I've heard that Van Nistelrooy is staying too. Also did you notice they appointed a Head Coach, not a Team Manager, so it really does look that the new Head Coach may be tightly controlled regarding is remit. Of course I might be totally wrong by my assumption, but if it were me, I would expect to bring in my own people like Stuart Maynard did at Notts. But what do I know.
  3. Pleased to announce that Jevani Brown has been voted PON Man of the Match for his excellent performance against Alfreton Town. Well done Jevani.
  4. Friendly match for the B Team tomorrow.
  5. The perfect job for Mr Warnock. But could they afford him?
  6. Personally I think this is a result of a very poor decision by the FA to abolish replays from the FA Cup 1st Round onwards. They didn't abolish replays in the qualifying rounds. When teams in the lower leagues are struggling for revenue non league teams & even lower league teams could earn hundreds of thousands of pounds from TV revenue for a replay against a top side. The first two rounds of the FA Cup don't even involve Premier League Cubs so why stop replays for the first two rounds? It is a very poor show by the powers that be, who have decided that PL sides participation in Europe comes first over the most famous football tournament in the World.
  7. Hard luck Notts Ladies, for having to play a team that were ruthless in attack & played well all over the pitch. However, the Notts team can be proud of getting to the WFA Cup first round. A first for the Notts Women since they were reformed.
  8. It's a winnerable game if we play our strongest side. It should be a good attendance with a few thousand Notts fans going to the match. I think Notts have a good chance to get through to the 3rd Round.
  9. Update. Sporting score their 4th & 5th goals. Notts 0 Sorting Khalsa 5
  10. I'm sceptical of having an independent regulator. I'm afraid there is no such thing as an independent anything nowadays. People have opinions, so they are going to be for or against a particular thing. Even an independent regulator will favour the bigger clubs rather than the smaller ones, because at the end of the day money talks, & if you have the money it makes a club very powerful. As for the PL. There should be a salary & transfer cap. Each club should only be allowed two of the most expensive players, & their needs to be at least 6 home players on the field of play at any one time to help home players develop. This may reduce the standard in the PL but I think it needs to be done.
  11. Work to do in the 2nd half.
  12. The visitors double their lead.
  13. First goal to the visitors.
  14. This is how the Notts team line up today CMON U PIES!!!
  15. I've extended the poll to 6 pm on Monday 4th November to allow all members to vote.
  16. For me there have been four players that have stood out for Notts, Matty Platt, Dan Crowley, Alassana Jatta. & Jacob Bedeau Four other players warrant a mention, Alex Bass, Nick Tsaroulla, David McGoldrick & George Abbott My player of the season so far is Matty Platt not just for his consistent performances in defence, because he & his fellow defence men, have contributed to a vast improvement in the Notts defence since last season.
