@Fan of Big Tone Including commuting to work & then driving for my job, I drove approximately 55,000 miles a year. I had a long commute to work then came the driving & the deliveries. I'd probably walk about 5 to 6 miles a day on my delivery route. So I was already used to the walking part. Also the loading & the unloading used to keep me fit. I'd unload during my shift a full load of 58 trollies of milk, up to 20 drops, one or two at the small shops, more at the larger stores, then replace them with the empty trollies. A full load of empties would be about 84 trollies. Just depended what were available at the store. It's a big thing when you stop all of that. Trying to keep active is the key.

This is a fantastic stat for Notts. Hope that this level of support will continue and even grow as the season progresses.

Is Pep's Departure Inevitable?
I'm sorry but is it just me thinking that all these foreign managers that come to work in the UK are just plain overrated? As I've said in other threads, there are thousands of home coaches doing their work, coaching their teams throughout the week & on Match days. All these teams will range from junior teams to the most senior teams in the land. Football in this Country depends on home grown coaches up & down the Country. The top six in the PL prefer foreign coaches but I think that's more for the sake of the owners & to attract international viewers & finance than anything else. I don't think that it is because these coaches are any better than home grown coaches because in my opinion they aren't any better. No doubt Pep will get his millions & your probably right @Wheelbarrow repair man that England couldn't afford him, & he will be rated as one of the best by the MSMedia & football establishment when he's done But I just don't rate him any better than dozens of other Head Coaches in the football pyramid. Am I wrong?

Good Morning. Another rain soaked soggy morning here. The wind isn't too strong at the moment. With luck this named storm will pass us by & we won't get the worse of it here. Looking forward to the Notts women's match against Leafield Athletic at 2 pm today at Coronation Park Eastwood. Updates will be posted on the match thread. Managed to do a landmark yesterday as my pedometer recorded 1501 miles walked since March last year. Just imagine how far the average person has walked in a lifetime, the mind boggles on that one.

Notts County Women v Leafield Athletic
So today's opponents are Leafield Athletic who like Notts, have made a good start to the season after struggling last term. Leafield have recruited well & it looks like they will be one of the better sides in the league this season. It will be a tough test for Notts today. Notts will need to be at their best, & they need to be strong at the back and take their chances when they come. Hoping for a Notts win but a draw would be a good result.

The Notts Defensive Back Line.
Another Stella performance by our back line against Wimbledon. That's 4 clean sheets for the league season to date. Notts have conceded just 11 goals in their first 12 matches, the fourth best in the league. After 12 games last season Notts had conceded 21 goals, just one goal shy of being twice as many conceded. So the evidence is clear that the Notts defence has improved this season under Stuart Maynard. Long may it continue.

- HIGHLIGHTS | NOTTS COUNTY 1-0 WIMBLEDON
It was a good win against a good organised side that came to frustrate & break up the play. But Notts found a way to win, even though they were not at their best.- Match Discussion: Game 13 - The Bluebirds (A)
I think that Notts can get a positive result at Barrow. McDonald coming into the side at Barrow, if Macari is injured, will not weaken the Notts side at all. I believe that McDonald will soon be a regular in the Notts side as the season progresses. Away from home, the Notts attacking midfield & strikers get more space to work there magic & with a rock solid defence, Notts shouldn't be afraid of any side in this division.- Matty Platt's 67th-Minute Heroics Seal 1-0 Triumph for Notts Against AFC Wimbledon
This was a really important win for Notts & their fourth clean sheet of the season. This team know how to win when they aren't playing at their best and that was the case today. The defensive line were solid again today and Bass was superb. When a team has a good defence there will always be a chance of winning or at least drawing. Matches such as this, Notts would have possibly lost last season. Now they are winning these games by showing grit, determination & a will to win. Notts have lost good players till at least the new year & they just need to keep getting positive results till then. The way they are playing they should be there or there abouts near the top of the league when those players return.. Another tough game awaits on Tuesday away to Barrow. Notts will need to repeat the grit and determination they showed today on Tuesday night, by grinding another win or draw.- Who is your Man of the Match v Wimbledon?
Another good performance by our back line to record another clean sheet Platt & Bedeau were superb in defence. Palmer did the business once again & Abbott was good in the second half when transferred to central midfield. Tsaroulla was good when he came on in the second half. Crowley had much more room to work in the second half & Didzy was his usual hard working self. But I choose Alex Bass for my man of the match for being absolutely superb in goal once again. What a signing he's been for Notts.- MATTY PLATT SINKS WIMBLEDON - It's All Black and White Matchday Vlog (S3|EP11)
- Who is your Man of the Match v Wimbledon?
My player shortlist for Man of the Match are:- George Abbott, Nick Tsaroulla, Dan Crowley, Matty Platt, Alex Bass, Matt Palmer, Jacob Bedeau, David McGoldrick- Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Wombles (H)
Good gritty & determined win today from Notts against a well organised side. I think the substitutions from Maynard at half time helped to change the game in Notts favour. Putting Abbott into the centre of midfield & bringing on Tsaroulla for Gordon at half time gave Notts, much more impetus by freeing up Crowley & they looked much more threatening as a result. Stuart will be very pleased with the fourth clean sheet of the season & how the goalkeeper and defensive line played to keep out Wimbledon who were dangerous at times. Pleased that Matty Platt as got a goal and the goal was from a set piece corner. Certainly not a Notts type of goal but those type of goals come in handy in a close game like this. Another tough fixture to come with Barrow next. Onwards we go.- Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Wombles (H)

A WIN FOR NOTTS A clean sheet and an ugly win. But a win is a win.- Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Wombles (H)

Update. A mistake from Macari almost hands Wimbledon a golden opportunity. - Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
