Kellan is just what Notts needed. He is a very good signing for Notts. There is going to be serious competition for Nemane at right wing back this season. Kellan was an important player for Crawley in their promotion season and played very well in the promotion final, that saw Crawley gain promotion. Getting Kellan on a free transfer is another great piece of business by Notts. I'm sure we are going to see more incomings before the regular season starts.

Should Cole Palmer,Ollie Watkins & Luke Shaw start the game against Spain on Sunday? Those two players gave England an extra impetus of movement & pace that eventually opened up the Netherlands in the last minute of the game. England had become increasingly pedestrian up until they both came on. Southgate talks about the merits of his squad system, but making substitutions so late isn't always going to work. I believe Luke Shaw should play instead of Trippier because he's better on the left side. And I think Watkins should come in for Kane because for me, Kane looks jaded Thoughts?

Up early this morning to do the shopping. Very busy, people stocking up on the booze for Sunday. Grass cutting required for tomorrow. The garden is soaked due to the incessant rain we've had. Focus this weekend will be on the England match and whether they can make history or not. Hard to believe that I was just 10 years old when England last won anything.

@Pies79 To be fair to Junior has hasn't had much opportunity to shine being down the pecking order. He's pretty fast on the ground so he could be used as a winger, then get another striker in. I spoke just after the season finished that the three promoted teams proved that a large strong squad is essential in League 2. Notts only need 3 or 4 players to pick up injuries and they will struggle to fill a substitutes bench. Palmer & Scott have not yet proved that they are the same players after long term injury, so that's a worry too
