    Match day. Panthers v Sheffield Steelers. Elite League, Motorpoint Arena. 7pm. Looks like it's going to be a sellout tonight for the fiercest rivalry in British Ice Hockey.

    Jodi will be a key player for us against Barrow today. Will Stuart expect him to track back & help the defense when we lose possession?

    Today's match against Barrow will tell us quite a lot whether Notts can go on to claim a place in the playoffs. A good defensive performance and a narrow win today would give the team lots of confidence going into the next set of tough matches.

    I am looking forward to looking at the tactical changes and possible change of shape for the Barrow Match later today. I'm sure there will be lots to talk about afterwards.

    @KB1862 The Man C investigation has been stalling for months and months now. In a few months the authorities are changing the FFP rules, so Man C will probably benefit in a big way from that change. Why is it that Football fans think things are stacked up so in favour of the top six when clubs like Everton have a verdict decided so quickly, but with Man City, it's delay after delay At least a specimen charge or charges could have been layed against Man C to get a decision quickly, so justice is seen to be being done.

    Spurs are a big club, but Man C are even bigger and again, Man C seemed to get the benefit of the doubt when it appeared that the Spurs goalie had been impeded by a Man City player following a Man C corner, near the end of the FA Cup match last night. The goal was given despite clear evidence that there was pushing and shoving immediately before the Man C goal. But VAR didn't see enough to warrant the goal being disallowed. If it has been the other way round would a Spurs goal has been disallowed? I'm sure it would have been.

    At last we've arrived at the day where Stuart Maynard will take his first match for Notts as Head Coach, against Barrow at Meadow Lane. Good luck Stuart. We are all behind you and your team.

    India v England day three. England are on 299/6 with Pope 142 not out.

    Notts C 2 v Middlesbrough 0 at Trent Bridge 1902. Notts won but you don't see anything of the match, just the cheering crowd, however it is great history footage, demonstrating that supporters who loved their club then were just as passionate as they are now 122 years later.

Bristol C 0 v Forest 0 Chelsea 0 v A Villa 0 Sheff Weds 1 v Coventry 1 Spurs 0 v Man C 1 More controversy with VAR as it is involved in a dubious decision again, near the end of the match, where the Spurs keeper is clearly impeded but VAR allows the goal. The question can be asked once again. What's the point of VAR. I think we know what the point is
