  2. Weather update from BBC Weather. Yellow warnings still in place across the Country for strong winds.
  3. England have named their team to face India in the first test in Hyderabad, India, starting tomorrow morning.
  4. David Williams 2nd highest Try Scorer & Marcus Ramage fourth in the Championship this season to date. Well done both.

  6. Catch up on all the latest Brit action from the Australian Open.
  7. Neal Skupski & Desirae Krawczyk are Australian Open Mixed Doubles Finalists.
  8. Notts played well in this match, Brighton did hit the woodwork in each half, but they were well beaten by Notts on the day. Tommy Johnson was at his best with two well taken goals scored in each half, the first being a guided header from a cross following a short corner, and his 2nd a shot from the left side of the penalty area, assisted by Dave Regis, that found the corner of the net, & Dave Regis actually scored Notts third guiding the ball in with his chest from a free kick from the right.. Brighton scored a consolation goal near the end of the match. Wonderful memories from an unforgettable day. What are your memories of that day?
  9. Zak Carrick-Smith has won another medal in the Junior Winter Olympic Giant Slalom, this time Silver.
  10. Storm Jocelyn is moving away.
  11. Memory Lane time. Back to 1991 and extended highlights of Notts v Brighton at an old Wembley Stadium. A young Neil Warnock leading his side out. Two goals by Tommy Johnson and one from Dave Regis won the day for Notts. Enjoy.
  12. More excellent work by Tom Williams giving a tactical analysis on Wealdsone while under Stuart Maynard. This is revealing stuff and demonstrates again why the Reedtz brothers chose him has Head Coach for Notts.
  13. Latest forecast for Weds 24th Jan. Another windy start to Wednesday.
  14. @Chris there was a stand at Fulham known as the "Rabbit Hutch" and I think away supporters described another stand as the "Cow Shed", but the Cow Shed may have belonged to another club Just looked on Google and a roof over a stand at Prenton Park, the home of Tranmere Rovers, was referred to as the "Cowshed"
  15. I agree @Chris Mansfield drew again tonight, so they are not really pulling away from Notts, nor are the other contenders. I really do believe that we have an excellent chance of making the playoffs, Even if we just scrape into the 7th place slot, no side would like to meet us, with the firepower we have, I agree that defensively, we have to improve, that is a key area and I believe that Stuart is a little more defensively minded than Luke, so on Saturday, I will be looking to see if there are any small modifications to our shape and style. It will be interesting if Jayden goes straight into the side and if Stuart plays a back four or back 3 and if Scott will be holding in the centre. Not getting exposed when losing possession up front will also be key. These next 5 matches will go along way to defining our season.
  16. Results tonight. Tues 23rd Jan MK Dons 3 Wimbledon 1 Mansfield 1 Sutton 1 Up to Date Table 1 Stockport 54 2 Wrexham 52 3 Mansfield 51 4 Crewe. 50 5 Barrow. 49 6 MK Dons. 45 7 Notts. 43 Mansfield drew again, good for Notts. MK Dons go above Notts with their win tonight.
  17. @liampie In the 100 ball game called "the hundred" the "Trent Rockets" (mens and womens), are the home team that plays at Trent bridge. In this format,, each side get 100 balls per innings rather than the 20/20 format that has 20 overs per innings (120 balls) where Nottingham Outlaws are the home team.
  18. @B&Wstripes we might see better from Randall under Stuart. Surprising what a new gaffer can do for players on the perifery.
  19. I think there may be another loan signing.
  20. Great News for Panthers fans. Panthers have signed experienced Canadian forward Anthony Luciani until the end of the season. His acquisition will strengthen the side. More info in the link below.
  21. @Chris @Fan of Big Tone thanks for this great thread and the quick breakdown. Really good news about their progress. This thread could turn into a long and popular thread.
  22. @Chris they could go even go further, in relation to serious foul play resulting in yellow or red cards. Why not give the power to the VAR Ref? The on field Ref could give the player committing the serious foul play notification that he's on notice while VAR decide if he gets a yellow or red card. We've seen players sent off who shouldn't have gone. VAR could be used for both yellow and red cards. This way the play won't be held up while decisions are being made.
  23. @Chris I see in the international rugby games, you can hear what the ref and VAR officials are saying to each other. I believe football rejected that. I wonder if that was the norm in football it would cut out many of the mistakes.
  24. We know in this Country that the top six sides are favoured and get all or most of the 50/50 decisions, it is no different in other Countries. In my opinion, TV money, & advertising revenue and Club revenue are all in the mix. What benefit would it be for a lesser side to win when there are so many big interests at stake? There was nothing wrong with Almeria's 3rd goal and it was clearly handball for Real Madrid's 2nd. VAR is killing the game too. It's getting to the point where VAR is actually more of a negative than a positive and it doesn't stop the wrong decisions being made. We are now seeing controversial decisions being made more than ever, and VAR is behind it. VAR needs scraping apart from goal line technology and reviewing sending off decisions.
  25. Rain clearing eastward this evening. Staying very windy though.
