  1. I agree @allardyces tash Stuart's personality is different to Luke's. I think Stuart's approach may be what the team needs, but we'll have to wait and see.
  2. I agree with your sentiments @Chris as I've already said, I think the extra time with the players before Barrow can only be a positive.
  3. @Ohh Tommy Johnson exactly, I think they're trying to do that with Cricket too, but that's for another Topic
  4. @Ohh Tommy Johnson I agree with most of what you say. I can remember when Rugby Union was basically an amateur sport and Rugby League professional. Rugby Union is in crisis and the Rugby authorities need to address this.Whether they will successfully is another matter. I don't think that the sport can generate the income anywhere near what we see even in the football championship level. As lovers of the game we can only watch on the sidelines & it's always the supporters who suffer. Hopefully a major Rugby Club will continue to have a future in the City. The recent flood damage was a big blow but supporters and the Rugby community have rallied round to help. Nottingham has a proud record of producing great International players. I'm optimistic that the glory years will return to Nottingham RFC one day.
  5. Ice Hockey, Winter Olympic Qualification. GB have named their team for next month's men's Olympic Qualifiers in Cardiff. Head Coach Pete Russell has named a 22-player roster with forwards Cam Critchlow, Sean Norris and Brandon Whistle set to win full debut caps at the tournament. https://www.icehockeyuk.co.uk/gb-squad-announced-for-mens-olympic-qualifiers/
  6. You can't beat a bit of Tom & Jerry. Enjoy.
  7. Brace yourselves, another named Storm, Storm Jocelyn, is heading our way. We've had our fair share of named storms this winter.????
  8. This is so funny.
  9. Cam Norrie just fails to make the Australian Open Quarter finals. Check out all the British winners at the Australian Open Monday.
  10. Saw this report in the Guardian. Looks like severe weather in the states. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/jan/20/us-winter-weather-snow-storms-east-coast-northwest-south
  11. Brit Zak, Carrick-Smith, only 16 years old, wins gold in the men's alpine combined at the Junior Winter Olympic Games Well done Zak.
  12. Joe Salisbury & Heather Watson Storm into the quarter finals of the mixed doubles.
  13. This was a good away performance by Notts. The Fulham side contained two greats, Bobby Moore and George Best, a little past their best, but even so, they were both two of the best the UK has produced. For Notts we had 3 great players for Notts featuring here, Steve Carter, Ian Scanlon & Mick Vinter, so sad that Mick is no longer with us. All three were prolific goal scorers for Notts Ian Scanlon 31 goals, Mick Vinter 54, & Steve Carter 21.
  14. Now that our new Head Coach has been appointed, Stuart Maynard, the odds have increased that Notts may make the playoffs. The next 5 games starting with Barrow at home on Saturday will probably go a long way in defining our season end position.
  15. Link to the Latest league table after Notts point against Sutton Coldfield. Notts County LFC https://g.co/kgs/yLqXLTe
  16. 2nd defeat of the weekend for Panthers. Can't get any luck at the moment.
  17. Alexander Zverev v Cam Norrie. CMON CAM.
  18. Remember standing on the pop side for this match, United fans in every part of the ground. Not much segregation in those days.
  19. @AmericanPie I think Stuart will get Notts playing much better as a team all over the pitch, like midfield players tracking back and other players covering holes created when defenders maraud forward.
  20. At least it stopped the run of defeats which is positive @AmericanPie
  21. @AmericanPie agree, he looks to have a really good future in the game.
  22. We are getting hurricane force winds in the UK now but they won't call it a hurricane here. We've even had tornado alerts too.????
  23. @AmericanPie the powers that be seem reluctant to do anything about Man City, because they're probably worried they might leave the Premier League along with the other big six.
  24. I agree @AmericanPie Jodi is a gem.
