  2. Hear hear @Chris
  3. It might have the effect of kicking Stone up the backside because he's much better than he's shown us as yet.
  4. For those who would like to know more about the Nottingham Panthers and their history I will post an article about them that can be found on Wiki. The Nottingham Panthers were formed at the end of WW2 in 1946 Their first franchise was between 1946 & 1960, they then went out of business for 20 years, however a new franchise began in 1980 to the present day. The Panthers have been one of the best if not the best, supported Ice Hockey clubs in history. The Panthers are also one of the most successful clubs with plenty of silverware, they have won 4 league titles, & are the only British team to win the European, Continental Cup. The link to their Wiki is here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham_Panthers
  5. If anyone would like to know more about Nottingham RFC there is an article on Wiki with plenty of information. The Club was founded in 1877 and the Clubs heyday was in the late 1980s when they boasted several international players in their ranks, most notably Gary Rees, Dusty Hate, Rob Andrew & Brian Moore, who as well as playing for England, became a British lion. Nottingham used to get televised regularly on "Rugby Special at that time, being a top club. The advent of professionalism affected Nottingham for a few years, but they have bounced back since then & have become a solid 2nd tier club. I post the wiki link here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham_R.F.C.#:~:text=7 External links-,History,of the club until 2006.
  6. Another title for Alfie Hewett.
  7. Nottingham RFC recently had their ground flooded and damaged during the recent adverse weather. The club have had to postpone their home matches at 'the bay' due to the flooding.
  8. Nottingham RFC play in the Championship, English Rugby's 2nd tier. . This is the up to date Championship table.
  9. The same result will do just fine
  10. Elite League table 11/01/23 Nottingham Panthers playing catch up. https://www.eliteleague.co.uk/standings/2023/38-elite-ice-hockey-league
  11. A great start to the year just as he ended 2023, Draper will face Czech Jiri Lehecka in his second successive ATP final, having ended 2023 as runner-up to Adrian Mannarino at the Sofia Open. Joe Salisbury & his partner Rajeev Ram reach the Adelaide Doubles final with a fine win.
  12. Northampton 1 Notts County 1, March 1971 In black and white. Just footage of the Notts goal, but what a goal. A typical headed goal from a Notts County great Tony Hateley, with an assist by Brian Stubbs. Tony was one of the best headers of a ball in Footballing history. He came back to Notts to help Notts get promoted, and he did just that.
  13. Macaulay's move to a higher level this season hasn't prevented him from doing what he does best, scoring goals. Fantastic stats for a League 2 Newcomer.
  14. PS. @ChrisI posted an article on Nottingham Panthers in the Granny Pies Gen Discussion Forum. Wonder if that post should go into the other Sports now?
  15. Thanks @Chris it's looking good.
  16. I agree @liampie I think Cedwyn has been a big miss for us since he's got injured.
  17. @liampie we've had some great teams and players at Notts. Some of the Football we have played has been sensational over the years.
  18. Ok????
  19. @Chris will you be including a Notts County Women FC Forum too?
  20. I agree @liampie Scott should be selected immediately. Give us some steel in midfield.
  21. Jim handled his 1st pre match press conference as Interim Head Coach very well. I don't think there will be any changes in style till the Club as made a decision about a new permanent Head Coach. There may be a few little tweaks on Saturday. We'll have to see on that.
  22. Looks like Chesterfield are on course to break all records in the National League. Of course, the competition is weaker this season, but even so, to break the points record, Win record and Goals Scored record would be great achievement for them. I think it makes Notts' win at Wembley over Chesterfield even more better.
