The weekend is here, let’s chat about what your plans are for this weekend. Today I will be looking for a holiday for Mrs. T and myself, we have had the all clear from the hospital that she hasn’t got a serious heart problem needing surgery and it can be treated by medication so we’ve managed to get travel insurance (at a cost) so looking forward to jetting away to the sunshine soon. Tomorrow we are heading to London to see the musical our son paid for us to go to for our Christmas present, we are all going so should be a fun day out. Sunday will be a day of rest. Phew.

Well if the make the decision of the new manager on who looks like Williams they could ask to speak to Pep Guardiola. ????

I just hope the season doesn’t go downhill from here after Williams goes, I feel most of the players will be gutted and it may affect their game, however they are professionals and have probably seen managers come and go before. A lot hinges on who the new manager will be but the owners got it right last time so let’s hope they do again.

I’d like to see us continue to play attractive football but perhaps with emphasis more on defence, I’d like to see defenders kicking it into row z when the need arises rather than play out from the back at all costs.

It’s the time of year to make New Years Resolutions, things you want to start doing or things you want to change. Mine is the usual one I have at this time of year and that’s to lose some weight, I’ve put lots back on over the festive period. I probably need to cut down the alcohol too. We are in safe hands with our two owners, after all the instability of recent years I think as fans we deserve a bit of calm and steady progress, long may the brothers continue to bring us that.

It’s been a fantastic year to be a Notts fan hasn’t it I guess most people would say that regaining our league status has to be the memorable moment of 2023, it’s certainly mine.

I hate making scapegoats but watching the live stream yesterday I do think Aidan Stone could have done better with some if not all the goals yesterday. He did save a penalty though which is a feat in itself but I think Notts could do better in this department, having said that the defence obviously must share some of the blame. Whats everyone’s thoughts on Stone.

Yes Trolley Buses were brilliant they ran from overhead electric wires connected by poles, I used to catch one on Arkwright Sreet to get into town there was a terminus on Trent Bridge, I don’t think they came down Meadow Lane, a little single decker petrol bus (No. 8 I think) came down Meadow Lane from Sneinton to Trent Bridge.
