  1. for the most part i felt it would be matt palmer or scott robertson, but i think jodi grew into the game and showed signs of what he can produce. some very clever forward passes, and overlapping runs. he gets my vote, but nick tsaroulla deserves a shout out too.

  3. not just jodi, they seemed to be trying it on with robbo. he was smashed from behind with a blatant elbow, he was hacked to the ground and got back to eon the ball, only to be pushed off it. later on, he was hit and kicked out at by the winger the gaffer mentioned. i am not being bitter, just feel they got away with so much but we had plenty of chances and that's a promising sign. our away form does need to improve, but games where teams play like crewe will be hard because they can play good football.
  4. feels like we have been robbed, i could not see the penalty but the referee missed a lot of dirty play by crewe. loads of elbows, pushing and kicking out. i do think luker should have won a penalty, but mcdonald equally could have given one away. it felt like a draw, but notts played well enough. dont get disheartened and just go again.
  5. thankful that the reedtz have done this without wanting anything in return, we have good owners and they want the club to be healthy. i think its true that it says more about their commitment and desire to seeing us progress in the leagues.
  6. their goal was a very good delivery into a difficult area to defend, i dont blame roos but i do think it could have intercepted before their player scored. its one of those things tho, notts has looked very good in spells. brilliant goal by tsaroulla to get us level. its just that bit between them scoring and us going level that could have been a bit better at times but it is end to end.
  7. Ipswich Town 2-1 Portsmouth Watford 1-0 Hull City Burton Albion 1-1 Plymouth Argyle Mansfield Town 2-0 Rotherham United Joker Bristol Rovers 1-1 Salford City Crawley Town 2-1 Barrow Halifax Town 1-0 Aldershot Truro City 1-2 Morecambe
  8. i am back on the training system, so i have been focusing on that a lot lately. i have another week where i have to pass various training courses, safety and best practices is always a piece of cake. i have much more enjoyed the showery days compared to those that the rain constantly comes. tomorrow i am on until 6pm, and i start from 8:30am. its going to be a long day. hope everyone is feeling well and are enjoying what ever activities you are all upto.
  9. this is how i see it, and i think @McPie sums it up well. the players coming in need to offer us something different if we need it, but more importantly they have to fit in with the style and identity of the club. some players wont make it, but the majority should and i dont think there is much needed to be changed. i think its more a case of slowly implementing the things we learn, as a way to iron out what does not work.
  10. i think it depends on the opposition and the type of form we are in when it comes to performances, if we always played two up top it would mean less bodies getting the ball into the creative areas and i think we benefitted from having just one up top against crawley. two up top worked well against tranmere, but it was at the cost of the midfield against gillingham. there has to be a reason why we struggled against a more physically aggressive team that is well organised and good at creating chances compared to the teams who are less confident on the ball. this is something martin paterson must establish the reasons for and tactically we have to remember starting our two best players in the striker department could at some stage leave us short. i think dennis being a doubt was a warning, but i am in favour of two strikers when it makes sense.
  11. i think we need to give martin paterson the season, much like we said to give stuart maynard his full campaign, but its a reminder that you have to give people a chance to show that they have improved. i wonder how maynard would be doing had he stayed, but i do think paterson would edge him in ability and most of the vital managerial stats. every departure leaves a transitional period, notts are one of those teams that struggles unless they are one of the best teams. it was easier for managers to come in when we were in the national league, as notts felt very much on the front foot in terms of seeking promotion even though we struggled a bit under ian burchnall. league two has so many teams capable of doing well, and even now some of the teams who started much better than us have slipped up at times. its a also a lot harder to predict because the teams and quality is much higher. i do hope we can get the most out of andy edwards, and i wonder if it was him who recommend some of the young loan players, rather than just roberto gaglardi.
  12. forest fans complaining about things this quick is quite funny, with the their chairman one minute something to be proud of to the next them wanting him out. to sacking the best manager they have had in decades. its all unravelling and its quite funny to watch those who only follow because of the success. i do feel sorry for the loyal and more rational minded fans.
  13. it sounds worse for barcelona when you think the likes of gillingham can get more than 6k. 🤣 even if the ground barca are playing in, at least its going to factor in the away fans true attendance.
  14. it gives me shudders when i think of the conditions of war built trenches but to combined that with people going out and seeking dead bodies to eat. it just takes it to that extra level or eeriness.
  15. we have moved forward, i guess the club has different ideas and visions now at least at this stage. its like how we sign players, some might come back but most probably wont. if luke williams can gain more experience, i think that would make him stand out.
  16. i think it would be a good time for the club to work on its relations with the supporters, and lift morale going into what will be a crucial stage of the season. i wont be attending, i tend to find the forums to be overwhelming with sound and the best bits are usually the talking segments and answers to fan submitted questions which are always filtered through. it is good this is happening, and i hope the notts fans here that go enjoy it.
