Notts waiver of loan from Football Radar
We should take this for what it is, a major step that strengthens the club without giving false hope. It doesn’t put extra cash in the budget for signings, but it does mean that the financial base is stronger and less weighed down by old loans. I’m glad the statement explained that we haven’t actually made a trading profit, because clarity is important. What stands out most is that this wasn’t forced; the Reedtz chose to do it. That’s unusual in football and deserves credit. It makes me feel more confident that whatever happens on the pitch, the club itself is in safe hands for the future.

Rod McDonald’s Form: Too Good to Drop?
Over the years, Notts have had some very steady defenders. Mike Edwards was one of them and people called him Steady Eddie. In midfield, we had hard-working players like Matt Palmer and Neal Bishop who always gave their all and were very reliable. Now it feels like we have a new player doing the same. Rod McDonald has come in while Matty Platt has been out and he’s been brilliant. He’s not just filled the gap, he’s made that spot his own and is playing really well every game. He’s so solid in the middle of the back three that I don’t know how we’ll take him out. I keep thinking about how Platt will fit back in. Maybe I’m not the only one wondering that.

Michael Duff appointed at Wycombe, will he ask for Martin Paterson as his #2?
I wouldn’t say the appointment is a safe one. Wycombe are going through a tough spell and things don’t seem to be settling down. Even teams with strong squads like Rotherham United are finding it hard in League One. I don’t see much changing for Wycombe any time soon. Burton, Blackpool, Plymouth and Northampton all look like they’ll be near the bottom of the table. I expect them to be fighting to stay up.

Match Discussion: League Two - Crawley Town (A)
You’d hope that playing at home with a more direct style, focused on creating chances, would help Notts come out on top. It’s the kind of setting where they should be looking to take control. Crawley are no pushovers and can hurt teams. I agree about the habit of passing backwards. It often leads to a dead end, especially when the other side presses high and forces us to retreat. Notts can’t go into the match expecting Crawley to sit back. The players need to take charge and push the game forward. I’d like to see more urgency and intent from the start. Sometimes I think a big win would boost confidence the most. But when I watch the games, I find myself happy enough with a narrow win if it gets the job done. The performance might not be perfect, but if they show effort and get off the mark early, that would be encouraging. Hard work and a bit of grit go a long way.

Why Keeping the Squad Settled Matters More Than Gossip
The club seemed to handle things well. There were calls for more openness, but it didn’t get out of hand. The extension went through, and now Alassana Jatta is back in the squad. I think Notts are listening to what people are saying. They seem to be trying to respond in a way that’s helpful and not just reactive. At the time, I wasn’t too happy about it all. But you can’t just charge in and expect the club to deny everything straight away. That would only stir things up more. It’s fair for fans to want better communication. The club does seem willing to talk, but it’s about picking the right moment. We might not always agree with when that is.

The Long Game: 13 Years of Community, Football, and Reflection
You've always put in a lot of effort. A few off days where you're not feeling your best don't take away from everything you've done. You've built a brilliant community. It's clear how much care and thought went into it. The fact that Pride of Nottingham had so much to offer right from the beginning shows how strong your vision was. I see that as a real positive.

Martin Paterson Targets Fifth Unbeaten Game as Notts County Prepare for Gillingham
The way Martin Paterson frames this match is spot on. He sees it as a great challenge rather than something to be intimidated by. That’s the mindset we need to grow. I also think the cultural shift he described is really important. Players choosing to stay behind for extra practice is a sign of hunger and responsibility. That can only improve standards. I was impressed too by the level of detail around training methods, with video work and repetition. It sounds basic but that’s what sharpens players. Defensively, we still have work to do, especially at set-pieces. If the recent adjustments hold up, we’ll give ourselves a better chance. Today feels like a real opportunity to show progress.

Understanding The Reedtz Vision for Notts County
The Reedtz brothers have built a solid foundation, and you can see how the club has benefited from their way of working. Results haven’t always been perfect, but we look like a club with a plan rather than just reacting to each season. Recruitment has been better, the squad is balanced, and the structure behind the scenes feels healthier. Still, there’s always that tension between a fan’s view and an owner’s view. A supporter wants wins and excitement now, while the Reedtz approach is about sustainability. Neither is wrong, but it does mean there will always be debates on whether the club is ambitious enough in the short term.

Martin Paterson Hails Back Line and Second-Half Response at Prenton Park
He’s probably saying it to get the fans on side and to show he’s being honest when he’s allowed to be. It’s not really his fault if the club don’t like head coaches talking openly about things like signings, players leaving, formations, tactics or how the team’s been playing.

Who's your Man of the Match v Tranmere?
Matthew Dennis had another strong game. He’s been one of the standout players over the last few matches, and I think he kept that going against Tranmere Rovers. Even though his one-on-one chance was saved, he still got us back on level terms early in the second half. For me, that kind of impact makes him a clear pick for Man of the Match.
