Ruben Rodrigues' pass is a perfect example of why Notts should sometimes adopt a more direct approach, rather than trying to walk the ball into the net. Although wing play can be thrilling, there comes a point when it's too easy for the opposition to stack players in defence, making it harder to score. Therefore, while I appreciate the excitement of our play, especially from the wing play, I believe that being more direct at times can yield better results for Notts in those tougher games.

swift movement by langstaff, but the pass through is just something special.

It's always reassuring to see good old Macca step in and save the day! His dependability is a real asset, and he never fails to come through when we need him.

I'm a bit critical of Ruben Rodrigues at times; when he does things like this its pure class - I wish he could do passes like this more often. Maybe not ones which go straight through the opposition but a lot better than some of the balls he plays. The goal is equally is a good, a well-placed shot.
