Yes, i was about 10 years old and very influential. I must admit he was my hero, above Hulk Hogan.

I stopped watching WWF when was 11, got bored and was allowed to go in the JS for the first time. Then i became the Ultimate Notts fan

I liked the Ultimate Warrior, though Hulk Hogan was my favourite. I was disappointed by the UW's exit and I don't buy WWE's version of events fully but his impact was Outstanding.

Wrestling isn't the same now.

We used to watch the wrestling when @notts-joe and @william1984 were young but haven't watched for ages.

who? i have heard of hulk hogan the over rated old guy, never heard of this ultimate warrior. not really into wrestling, only really watched the early 2000's.

What? What? What? (should be Well, well, well)... I still recall all the catch phrases and saying from attitudes game from 1998. :D

Used to enjoy wrestling in my earlier years (from about 1998 to 2003). I remember when WCW was on Channel 5 and it had some of the more marquee names like Sting, Hulk/Hollywood Hogan and such. Then I got into the WWF in the full swing of the Attitude era, I remember proudly ordering Judgement Day 2000 on Sky Box Office, staying up till 4am (easy now but not so easy as a 11-year-old!) and not going to school the next day. What a badman! (thought it was a rubbish PPV though, all the heels won that evening!)

Not overly familiar with the Ultimate Warrior, know of him but haven't see him wrestle. When I was 11-12, I was a fan of the traditional super-heavyweight powerhouses like Kane, Undertaker and Big Show, but as I grew up I became more and more fond of the high-octane stars like The Hardy Boyz, Rey Mysterio and my favourite, Rob Van Dam.

Some of my mates took wrestling even more seriously at the time haha... this is one of my best mates Justin.

Hey @Canadian, did you ever see the Hulk vs Andre the Giant and then of course Mancho Man vs Ultimate Warrior (first time round) - Man those were classics! I'm not as into wrestling much now, I like to keep updated and I do flicker interest with TNA but WWE for me lost the appeal. Mr Perfect, Sgt. Slaughter, Hulk Hogan, British Bulldog, Shawn Michaels, Macho Man Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, Earthquake, Legion of Doom, Demolish, Jake the Snake, Bret Hart, Brutus The barber Beef Cake <-- When he had his hair cut off by his own shears!! Haha

Alright then, if you or anyone want's to be the 'PoN World Heavyweight Champion' you need to have a go and share your scores!

Let's see how we do! ;) Just name the total amount you got.

I got 17. Wow the memories came flooding back lol.

The bushwackers were my favourite as well (Facking Mental)

We watch WWE twice a week (raw and smackdown)....our son, Harry is obsessed. We also go to the events when it is local. I do think that modern WWE is far too tame and politically correct, however with the upcoming WWE Network, they will go back to the old attitude era etc.

But when I was younger I was a massive fan of Sting, Hogan, Warrior, British Bulldog, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jerry the king Lawler.

Were all abit WWE mad in my little family. Harry is always going on about his favourite wrestlers, playing with his figures and signing the songs.

I love the old British wrestling - @Canadian's started something here. :D

Well my two favourite WW wrestlers were/are Mankind and The Taker. Of the old style English wrestlers I can remember a few, but the funniest had to be that mardy get who used to stamp his feet when things didn't go his way

from the 10 pictures shared i know 5 :)

My mum used to take the wrestling very seriously and would shout at the telly when wrestlers were using underhand tactics.

Posted

I can recall my Grandmother (mums side) doing the exact same thing back when WWE was WWF, she would shout that it was rubbish and she really disliked the Sgt. Slaughter, Mr Perfect (no man was supposedly) and the Big Boss Man. LOL

Posted

Yes,I 'm not sure which was funnier, the telly or my mother in law.

Here's another old Brit wrestling favourite

Les Kellett Vs. Leon Arris (1974) - YouTube

Leon Arris =Brian Glover=Heslop in Porridge(Ronnie Barker)

Hulk Hogan did the same as Les Kellett appearing punch drunk only to suddenly recover.
