haha... the school one is very funny.

something about schools i want to add is how stupid the catchment areas are becomming, my cousin is started senior school this year and he lives 5 minutes from where i went but the school he goes to his 30 minutes in car.

to be fair @Piethagoram I don't think the first one is quite accurate... they are building 47 new hospitals before the next election aren't they?  I know our hospital can be classed as 'new' now they have completed the new reception area, and I believe Kent and Canterbury has a new coat of paint!  

 

On a less sarcastic note... William Harvey in Ashford has what the staff refer to as a 'new hospital'.  My partner has been a regular visitor this summer, and the only new hospital on the site is a small private facility although there is building work on a small new block which may well actually be a car park.  As far as I can see there is no new NHS hospital on site, at best there will be 3 or 4 more wards.
