After a Humiliating 5th round Knock against fellow Brit Daniel Dubois, what is there left for Former World Boxing Champion Anthony Joshua?

A.J. Suffered the fourth defeat of his career last Saturday and to me he looked Completely Washed Up, he seemed to offer Nothing against the Younger More Hungry Dubois. It seemed that there was only going to be one Winner in this Fight, from the Very First Round. Joshua did manage to land a couple of Good Punches during the Fight, But Dubois shook them off and moved in to Destroy the Poor looking Joshua.

Frank Warren Dubois Promotor wants a match with the other World Boxing Belts Holder Oleksandr Usyk. But first Usyk must face a Rematch with the Gypsy King Tyson Fury, which should be an interesting encounter. There was a Rumor that Fury had fallen off the Wagon again ( a reference that Fury may have gone back on the Drugs and Booze, which resulted to him being stripped of his license the first time) after his Defeat by Usyk a Fight most people thought he was clearly Winning, before he started getting Cocky and started Showboating and got caught by a Usyk  punch which Rocked him and turned the Fight's advantage to the Ukrainian. Is the Rumor True? Will the fight Happen? Time will tell.

A.J. as vowed to carry on Fighting Why? So he can become a Shuffling Journeyman who gets knocked from Pillar to Post when Promotors  use him as a Punch Bag stepping stone for their Promising up and coming Heavy Weight Fighters? Give it Up A.J.  while you've still got your health, millions in the Bank and Nothing to Prove. Enjoy your Retirement your time in the Lime Light as gone, there are other jobs you can do or Train to do, it may Not Be as exciting as Boxing, but it'll be a Damn Lot Safer and you can Enjoy time with your Family, it may be hard at First but you'll get over that.

I don't take a lot of interest in Boxing nowadays. There doesn't seem to be much talent coming through in the Boxing divisions as far as I can see.

Young people just think it's too dangerous to take up a career in boxing, Just take the amateur Boxing as an example. There are rumours that Boxing may be discontinued at future Olympics.

The British team used to have a successful Olympic amateur boxing team with plenty of medals, but this Olympics the medal haul was poor compared to previous years.

Getting back to professional Boxing the golden age of Boxing is long gone, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard, Hagler, & co were on another planet compared to what's on offer now.

As far as AJ is concerned he's made his money, he should just retire & enjoy the rest of his life. And for WD, AJ will probably get a rematch with him, AJ will win, then there will be a third match, to make them both more millions.

Retiring isn’t the best option, but finishing his career in the best way possible would be good for him. I can’t see him fighting for another title, but he should go for boxers like Tyson Fury. Anthony Joshua is a likeable boxer who could continue for at least another five years.

@thommo

Tyson Fury  Would Take Joshua's Head Off. If Fury can Destroy a Boxer like Deontay Wilder three times, Joshua hasn't got a Snowballs Chance in Hell against the Gypsy King, who if he hadn't mucked about and Listened to his Trainer's Advice instead of his Father's he'd have won the Usyk Fight. There's No Disgrace in Joshua Retiring Now, it's much better to Go Now, than trying to Recapture his Glory Days. That Ain't Gonna Happen. How many times over the Years have we seen Boxers carry on Fighting in hope of One Last Great Hoorah, only for them to End Up a Shuffling Mess and a Shadow of the Boxer, they once had Been?
