As I discovered on the internet today (which we all know is never wrong), we have lost a total of 1,950 league games, which is more than any other club. Barnsley and Grimsby are next on the list with about 30 fewer, albeit from not as many FL seasons. Unfortunately, we've been a bit rubbish for a very long time.

Perversely, I feel a bit of pride in this as it means we've A) been around for a very long time and B ) we've been punching above our weight for a fair part of it. What do we do if we hit 2,000 first? Have a party to drown our sorrows?

If we embraced change instead of clinging to the past, we could have a say in what the future holds. It shows that Notts has been around for a very long time, but it has also been mismanaged in equal parts. To be honest, it’s one of those "meh" statistics.

we have played a lot of league games, if we had not dropped to the non league we would have still been amongst the most games played in the professional leagues. the stat just shows how tough we have had it as a club.

One game closer now! It's a very admirable way of looking at it, to say we have been punching above our weight! No doubt at times we have but also, it does show how for long periods we've just been pretty rubbish.. 😆😭

Where are the other founding members on that list? Anyone near us? All apart from Accrington who no longer exist are either in the Prem or Championship right now! That's quite depressing in a way, why has it gone so wrong for us!

Results have definitely improved since the Bros came in, maybe Grimsby will actually beat us to it!
