Looks like Montague is going to Swansea then as reported on BBC news today around 4pm.

Notts must have had the heads up that this was going to happen.

why have we made him a director when he is the already the clubs ceo, what does this exactly mean with his job title? i am not that worried about us needing to find someone else to take on the recruitment, as they will probably be someone from with football radar.

@liampie Jason Turner was eventually made a director. Corporate Governance at Notts probably ideal if we have 3 directors as RM will need to resign

It's just the club restructuring around the departure of Richard Montague.

You would expect the club to want to move someone into the role of director. I am not aware of the significance of it, but I would assume it's helpful to be more closely involved with the daily running of the club beyond just his CEO duties.

Seems a bit of a coincidence Richard is terminated at Notts & on the same day within hours, Luke is terminated at Swansea.

Personally, I don't think Joe Palmer does all that much that is publicly known. He seems quite happy in the background, and I would prefer a bit more transparency and open dialogue from him. I don't mean in terms of squashing rumours, but just general insights, which is why I miss the communication that Jason Turner used to provide. I hate how the club does things when they want the fans on their side, but the moment attendances are up and things seem rosy, you might not realise just how much the CEO role benefits the club when they are acknowledging fans with their work.

Joe seems to focus on behind-the-scenes tasks at the ground, rather than the fans. I think it would be nice to have more frequent updates, not necessarily monthly. Now that he is a director, his role at the club will be a very important channel of communication, and I hope the club considers this.

I think Notts are missing Richard Montague leaving more than people realise. I think that he used to work well with Stuart Maynard.

I don't think that it is surprise that the Notts form has dropped off since Richard left. Coupled with the fact that Craig & Matt Saunders left at a similar time too, those three leaving are sure to have disrupted the Club in lots of ways.

I'm sure that the players miss Craig & Matt on the training ground & Stuart misses Richard too.
