Jatta rumour

Featured Replies

There's a football click and bait story every single day on Google. Most of it is just pure speculation, but the headline is written in such a way that gets the clicks clicking.

We know that Jatta is going to have interest from home & abroad & he will have a price that the owners of Notts could well accept if it's the right offer.

There's just one little problem, Jatta's 5 match ban which I'm sure will reduce the interest & also reduce his value. The owners won't sell it the offer is too low.

There isn’t much to the Alassana Jatta story, but it could be important. It might explain why he didn’t move to Germany, though many other reasons could also be at play. I think the club will worry about finding someone to replace him. If the offer is right, we must still handle the transfer very carefully.

Letting him go before this season starts would be disastrous. He’s our only proven goal scorer up front.

If the story is true I wouldn’t want to see him go, not without a ready made replacement of a proven goal scorer and they aren’t easy to find because everyone wants one.

Let’s hope it’s all hogwash and just click bait as @Robbie says.

Wanna Bet? If the Price is right AJ will be on his way, even if it's on the Eve of the season (like Aaron Nemane last season). I also heard a rumour that Jatta didn't go to Germany because of interest from another Club and the visa thing was just used as an excuse. And lets not forget despite the assurance from former head of Recruitment Richard Montague that Notts didn't need to sell Star players i.e. Macca, the Brothers still let him go.

Alassana might be this season's Crowley, he might not, but I have more faith(!) in him giving his all on his contract, not sulking, and not going to a L2 rival eventually.

If I could make a small request to the club (I can't of course 😊), it would be not to use the phrase 'match our valuation' and use 'exceed' instead and to actually follow that as a selling policy.

Martin did say during his latest interview with Paul Mace that the Notts squad could look a little different by the time the season starts, with players coming in & players going in the opposite direction.

Jatta is an important player for Notts, but at Notts every player has his price. Same goes for any other player at Notts too.

Apparently we received and rejected an offer of Β£520k from Portuguese Liga Club CasaPiaAC.

I’ve no idea whether that’s true or not.

I think we'll hold out for 750k which may see one or two clubs bid against each other. He'll want to try himself in either Turkey or Portugal, he'd be mad not too.

I for one see him going and the 48th meltdown to occur this summer. Still doesn't worry me though.

that will be Eur 600,000

for a player with a year left and could go for free, take the money provided we have replacements lined up

I hope the bids aren’t true but it wouldn’t surprise me. Tough situation as he's only got 1 year left on his contract, if he's not open to extending with us it makes more sense to sell him as opposed to losing him and getting no money.

It would be hard for Jatta to turn down a move to the Premeira Liga and Casa Pia. They look to be a very decent side and finished comfortably mid-table too in 9th place. They aren’t that far off getting in the Europa Conference League, a world away from League 2 sadly.
