MAGnet Links - Salford

Featured Replies

I thought it might be good to start up MAGnet Links topic again for the new season. The idea is every home match we try to think of as many players, managers, coaches etc., past or present that have been involved with both clubs at one time or another.

So come on join in the fun, get your thinking caps on, I’ll start you off with Jorge Grant, he is currently in the Salford squad and played for us on loan from Fo*est during 2017-2018.

Who can think of some more?

Ashley Eastham is my offering.

There are moments when I find myself disappointed in you, Tone. I wanted to say Jorge Grant, even though I didn't know you were doing this. I still wanted to say Grant.

Jake Jervis , who played for Notts on loan for 10 matches in the 2010/11 season & for Salford City on loan, for 20 matches in the 2019/20 season.

I’ll be thinking about this for days, but I can’t name anyone at the moment. It’s not easy to come up with a player off the top of my head. I’ll have to keep thinking it over. Salford City being a fairly new club makes it harder to find someone who’s played for both teams.

Tylor Golden, brought in on loan from Salford City in 2021. No appearances made according to Wiki.

Please note: I’ll do my best to help, but some issues may need passing on.

Ethan Smith is a very obscure link between Notts County and Salford City. He began his career with Salford’s B team before making the move to Notts.

Although he’s not yet an established professional and hasn’t played for the first team at Meadow Lane, he still counts as a connection between the two clubs. It’s an unusual one, but worth mentioning all the same.
