Weekly Chat Monday 1st to Sunday 7th December

Featured Replies

Good morning, it’s a new day, a new week and a new month. It’s a miserable start to the day weather wise.

Today I’m off to the QMC to have a chunk cut out of my leg to check for skin cancer, I’m not looking forward to it but it’s necessary I guess.

I hope everyone is well, please keep these chats going and let us know what’s happening in your life.

It's a wet, and windy day here too. We had a relatively dry summer, but mother nature has certainly changed that during the last month or so.

Mrs R took down our autumn features from around the house & outside yesterday.

Good luck with your procedure today @Fan of Big Tone & hope you get some positive news once they get the results through.

Wishing you all the very best BigTone.

Yeah, a very wet and cold start to the week. A day off today and I was proud of myself, no alarm and slept thru to 9:30. Must be my age, but I see long sleeps as an accomplishment.

The rest of my free day will be spent in the usual way - fighting companies behaving badly; demands for payments long since paid, correcting over-billing, services not fully provided etc etc. Great fun

I just love soul music from the 60s, 70s & 80s. This is one of my favourites. Back Stabbers by the O' Jays. Enjoy a 53 year old classic.

Thanks for the good wishes folks, I’m back home now the procedure was fairly painless, the worse thing was the needles to numb my leg, when the took a chunk of flesh out I didn’t feel anything. I’ve got to rest for a couple of days with my leg elevated then I can take the dressing off and the stitches should have dissolved.

It’ll probably hurt a bit when the anaesthetic wears off, paracetamol at the ready.

Totally agree about the needles to numb the area @Fan of Big Tone . My next tests under the auspices of the Myeloma clinic come January

Fingers crossed you'll get good news @Fan of Big Tone. And that you heal up well!

I've been away from here as I've had my own hands full with medical stuff. My own problem hasn't got any better after two months. I've now been referred to the university hospital to see a specialist and hopefully get a diagnosis. Trouble is, the clinic doesn't answer the phone - I've called them 21 times without any success. When I complained about it at the main number the operator said, "ha, some people are trying for weeks".

Amid all the fun of chasing appointments and taking useless medication, I had time to buy a new hoover on Friday, one of those cordless ones. They don't quite have the raw power of the old ones but you can't beat the convenience.

@Piethagoram @DangerousSausage I hope your treatments are painless and successful. It’s no fun having countless hospital appointments, keep your respective chins up.
