It’s a good interview, I really hope he helps us achieve promotion, if he doesn’t I hope the brothers stick with him, I really like him.

Me too. He's done so much to correct our flaws from last season.

The pressure cranks up at this time of year, and I keep returning to the fateful decision to pick Platt out wide for the Chesterfield game, leading to his gym-style 'suicides' running on the 57min when he did his ACL. Macari had done nothing wrong and should've started that game.

Did he consult his boss on this pick, our Director of Football, who does have a promotion behind him?

It's impossible to please everyone, it's all about opinions, but he's been doing my head in with too much Norburn and too little Iorpenda in centre midfield.

I doubt anyone will like this post and it won't get any thumbs up. I am happy overall with Martin Paterson, but he's still an inexperienced 38-year old coach and we shouldn't expect him to be perfect or expect him to run the whole club, god forbid.

Same @Fan of Big Tone Martin has definitely grown on me over the season to the point I think he totally deserves to be here next season regardless of if we get promoted or not.

I think the quality overall of the team this season is weaker than last season, yet we’re going to finish up with more points, more wins and the home form has been much improved under him too.

Totally agree with @Fan of Big Tone and @menzinho the fact that Martin Patterson has grown into the job, giving that his pedigree wasn't in the top echelons to begin, he is certainly up there now. Guiding our sometimes luckless team (injuries ect) to where we are now, hovering over automatic promotion/playoffs, with all, including the backroom staff, giving every sinue of themselves to achieve the ultimate goal. Absolutely brilliant 👏

Whatever the outcome, you have to admire the attitude and effort put in overall to achieve something very special. Well done Martin and his Magpies.

If Notts get promoted it will be through shear determination and hard work by the players and Martin and his team. They will have thoroughly deserved it in my opinion.

6 big games to go now, let’s hope they can stand firm and go from strength to strength while our rivals falter at the last hurdle, I’d love to go up automatically rather than the stressful playoffs which are fabulous if you win but not so good when you don’t.

I keep having to remind myself that MP is, by some distance, the youngest manager in the division. Also, I believe, the least experienced. Whether we get promotion or not, he's had an incredible first season in charge.

Also, by some distance the youngest of the four young head coaches the brothers have appointed. What he's got that they didn't have is proper experience as a serious footballer (at all levels).
