Ched Evans

  1. 1. Should Ched Evans be allowed back into Football?

    • Yes, he has served his time per the legal system, and it would be unfair to stop him plying his trade

    • Yes, as long as he doesn't play for Notts

    • No, he should not be allowed back. Footballers are supposed to be role models

All this talk from the likes of Steve Bruce really really irritates me, if Ched Evans was Steve Bruce's child's teacher would he still be saying the same??

I cannot believe how immoral people can become if they might benefit from it

Steve Bruce is one of the most pointless managers out there, he made his early managerial career of signing United cast offs.

He should keep his opinions on the low.

A field where dreams become reality.

Oldham effectively up for sale now as owner "has had enough".... still thinks "it would have been right to take him" in respect of Ched Evans

A case of throwing his toys out of the pram, if a owner disrespected a fan base by ignoring wishes of this nature then he should leave the game.

While I don't condone what he done (if he did it) like most have said on here he's done his time let the guy now get back on with his life.

The only person who's laughing at all this and no doubt laughing all the way to the bank is the female in question she knew what she was doing she knew what she was getting her self into and she defo knew that at the time he was highly paid footballer.

We don't know the all the story.

Its dubious but I stand by the decision and I sort of feel it shouldn't be about money. I know what you're saying but its complicated. He should start lower and come up if he earns it, I hear he might retire if his appeal don't work.

We don't know what happened, but the jury and the judge who convicted him do know. I would expect a lot of convicted criminals would jump at the it wasn't me gov idea if they knew the publicity machine that Evans has used.

Regarding the girl knowing what she was doing etc...

Out of order in my opinion. Any person in that position isn't exactly laughing as you put it @jsrjay

Please show a little more respect of the judicial system and the victims of crimes such as rape.

IF this rape did take place, as those members of the jury, the CPS, the judge, and others privy to all the evidence have decided, then it is IMO shameful to suggest that, "she knew what she was doing" etc etc.

Just as it was sometimes suggested that a woman "consented because she dressed as though asking for it", I suggest people watch the 1988 film, The Accused (rated 18, so sorry to our younger members) starring Jodie Foster, this is loosely based on a true story, but also back in those days helped to change the way people thought, and considered victims.

As for Ched Evans, the latest opening, as unlikely as it may be to come off, is to Sandefjord in Norway, a club managed by ex Derby and Forest player, Lars Bohinen.
