Any potential benefit to our link with Juventus?

Ladies and Gents,

I want to throw this question out there, to get some opinions on any potential benefits Notts County could get from our connection with Juventus FC...

Have your say, what do you think could be achieved.......

I think the gesture of opening their stadium is enough.

Yet, it would be nice if they would send us a couple of players or possibly a lot more @Italian Magpies to help us fill the ground for a few more season. In all seriousness I think the 'togetherness' is the most outstanding aspect and perhaps one day we can network with them, they're not quite local, local you know. I almost went into the League of Gentlemen. ;)

I don't see anything else happening now, just my opinion and i dont think it can be changed.

I don't see it. Wouldn't mind one of their youth loans coming across for a couple of months to get 'hardened up' with L1 defenders kicking them all over the park.

This is probably why they don't bother  B)

A friendly preseason match at ML would be nice.

The reason I mentioned this is, I heard a radio article about "the Newcastle's of the world association". This group whilst fostering better friendships, are now taking this a step further and forging more business links...

Could the "bianconeri's" of the footballing world do similar?

I sadly think it's probably more of a "romantic" link.  In the grand scheme of things we just aren't important enough to Juventus, and we would get way more out of it than they would.

I can't imagine any of the big 4 clubs doing a similar thing with a tier 3 club in another county?

it would be nice to keep the connection alive, perhaps playing each other in a friendly every now and then.

There's little commercial benefit on the part of Juventus, but ties like this shouldn't be left to the board of either club, it's something for the fans to keep alive with occasional trips etc. There's a lot of interest in our club from Turin, our Facebook group has over 70,000 likes, a lot of them from Italy! It might be an idea to offer Juve fans with STs or club memberships free or reduced admission to a specific match.

That said, I live in hope that I'll see us play Juventus at Meadow Lane one day!

Always followed them, a massive team with a great history. Would be nice to see them at the lane, I think that's the most we could expect. Forza Juve
